Ha!

Yep, I HATE this two move limit.

You see, under the "OLD" rules, I would have been moving a little more each day over the last few days, and would have been about 70% into "I" over the last few days.

Instead, I'm sitting at 50/50 S and I, and looking to move towards "G" any day now. I see another day or two tops on the "I" roller coaster, but nothing tells me yet that today is the day to jump off, so I'm riding it for all it's worth. We're overdue for a rest, but there is absolutely nothing in the technicals signalling to jump off today. So I'll give it another day, and look at the technicals again.

Wish me luck. Last year I got creamed, when I got caught traveling and not paying enough attention to the flashing lights and key signals.
Your Personal Investment Performance (PIP) for the past 12 months ending 12/31/2011 is -11.03%.

This year, my resolution is to pay closer attention, and boldly go where my signals tell me.
This is my try to make up for it.

Right now I have this great big flashing yellow light blinking and telling me to jump out to the safety of "G"

But at least for today, I'm riding the roller coaster!

Wish me luck.

Thanks for all your input,
I have a hard time figuring when the PIGGS in Europe are going to have the bear chase them down again. Please keep posting your insights! THANKS

Wow. This ride is strong- but we are OVERDUE FOR A REST IN THE ACTION. A couple of days ago I said:

And today is exactly the same- we are DUE for a breather, but nothing yet has indicated we're at the very top, so I'll keep her there one more day.

RIght now I am re-evaluating every day before noonish to determine whether or not to bail out yet. More than a 7% rise in one month. That's serious upside, and CANNOT continue. But the European stocks reacted nicely last night, and I'm sitting half in I fund at the moment, and soaking it up.

Keep your powder dry, and be NIMBLE and ready to move to safety!

Be careful out there!

James,

At #72 you should think about changing your bear suit.

You have a very good point there Birch.

I switched from the bull to the bear back in 2008. We're now at the point where I am seeing, in the data, the next few months seriously higher ahead. Perhaps it IS time to change avatars to the bull.

What do you think? Should I change my avatar from this bear:

And, instead, make it this bull?:

Maybe I need a poll so we can have a vote.... :-)

F!

My flight back out of DCA this morning was delayed by 1:25 due to mechanical difficulty. (Thank you Delta). In looking on-line before departing DCA, it showed my connection flight was actually delayed by 40 minutes too.

I did the OJ sprint (you have to be old enough to know that one) to the new gate, ONLY to find out that the connecting flight CLOSED THE DOOR EARLY, and it departed the gate six minutes PRIOR to the scheduled departure time, leaving me missing the flight by TWO MINUTES.

I hate when that happens.

I now have SIX HOURS AND TWENTY MINUTES to wait in the aiirport until the next flight.

Happy Friday.

That stinks. Sorry. I do remember the OJ sprint.

back in DC again this week- hoping to make it out tomorrow without a repeat of the friday flight fiasco of the last trip.

The hair on the back of my neck is starting to tingle again, telling me it's time to move to safety in the market. I've been blessed with a double-digit gain since just before Christmas. Greed kills. Backing off with a swing move to move stability. I just did an IFT in the real account tonight to: 45% "G" 40% "F", 5% "C", 5% "S",, 5% "I".

That takes my stock exposure down to only 15%. That's good- nothing goes straight up for long, and it's time for a rest.

If you sit at #31 with 11.53% for too long you just might succumb to the horns of the bull - I want your spot.

Maybe you should look in to taking the train next time. It's heavily subsidized, union run and a great way to travel.

You can leave Washington Union Station on the Capitol Limited at 405p and arrive at Chicago Union Station at 845a the next day. Then you have your choice, depending where in MI you are going of the Wolverine, Blue Water or Pere Marquette. There may be a short wait at Chicago (3-8 hours) and I am not sure the per-diem/pay rules about all this.

If you have time this might be a great American adventure. Magic carpet made of steel...

Interesting suggestion there P.O.

If I took the Amtrack from Union station, I found out I could hop off in Toledo,OH and then take a bus up to Ann Arbor, and arrive after just 16 hours enroute.

I will think about that.

Of course, I wonder if my supervisor would approve...

What would my employer (the FAA) have to say about riding a train instead of the plane ? ? ?

Maybe you could tell them you feel safer?

Since we (at least me) are "on the clock" while on official travel, it would be interesting to find out what is in the travel regs about trains.

I've been on one "detail" as they call it in the last six years. So what do I know?

I do know having to keep the JPM travel card for the little travel I do is a PITA. I have to keep it because...can't make flight reservations without it and everyone has to get their percentage.

A different topic that does **** me off.

The city I am posted to has no passsenger rail service so I will never know.

Taking a bus, even 53 miles, could be kinda eeeewwwwhhhh. Depends on the company.

Just some rambling thoughts about your travels.
