Take your liberal corruption somewhere else on Thanksgiving...thank you

My my, someone must have not gotten any turkey today, eh? Or else they aren't getting anything else tonight....

Happy Thanksgiving to you too.

Be thankful that folks like me blazed the trail to make it possible for people like you to breath.

I hereby apologize to anyone who had submitted a registration, and then could not post in Beltway talk.

I am not proficient in this program, and tonight I discovered 55 people who had submitted beltwaytalk.com registrations and were awaiting approval.

My bad. I did not know how to find them. Now I do.

I have now approved them all, and you should now be able to post.

Sorry for any previous difficulty you may have had.

If that still doesn't work, PM me here and I'll try extra hard to fix it.

thanks!

Although I think I could have done better than you, with a conservative view of course.

Sorry if I didn't explain that well enough. The reason I do that is because half or more of the prospective members are spammers looking for a place to put their links (you can usually tell by the IP). You can change that option to make it automatic so you don't have to deal with moderating new users, but then you will have to deal with the spammers.

Just an FYI- I moved to mostly G and F day before yesterday.

I had a dream last weekend that the stock market lost 70% of it's value over the course of a couple days.

I don't know what that means (*the dream part), but it shook me enough to move.

Just sayin'.

First IFT in nearly 9 months. Nice timing, or at least nice timing on the dream. Not exactly MLK, but if it saves you some money. Now, did your dream happen to show any of the races on Friday at Aqueduct? :)

Moving back into stocks, hoping for a Santa rally.

30% C
60% S
10% I just for grins.

Hold on tight- here comes the roller coaster.

I had a dream last night too.
George Noory had a guest on discussing Group Consciousness…
Gotta go with the dream, man – gotta go with the dream. Chargers win!!!

I migrated a little out of the bubbly (‘F Fund’) toward the C/S/I. Not a bunch, just a bit.
My dreams were a little more subdued, a little more ambivalent.
I dreamed I saw Santa. Kinda sad, eh.

...either an announcement by the ECB that they will buy some soveriegn debt...

[rant mode]

FWM, this is not directed at you or anybody in particular, but these unrealistic expectations of the ECB are just driving me nuts! The ECB is prohibited by the EU Charter from doing exactly that. What drives me nuts is when the ECB states that they will follow the law, and not do what they are not allowed to do, the Markets react with horror and drop immediately! Of course, the EU leaders _CAN_ decide to change the rules and allow the ECB to do what everyone else (besides Germany, etc.) wants them to do, but we've all seen their speed and efficiency at making changes lately. :suspicious: I wish everybody would figure it out, the ECB isn't going to violate it's charter, no matter how good it may look on paper!

[/rant mode off]

Otherwise, I agree with you. The "Santa Rally" is a historical trend that's been observed over time. How many instances have there been over that time with the current European financial/political crises affecting the markets, and how did the markets behave during those times (not just all times)?

I may be a newb still, but I think I have a pretty good idea as to the answer...
