Good morning all I am a forest service employee and got hired permanently at the end of 2009. 31 yrs old from California. Been a long time follower of the site and have really tried to educate myself by religiously reading toms daily commentary and a few other sites. I try to transfer my funds to follow market swings but I don't have a real system in place to do so, I go more off my gut instinct and technical indicators. I seem to be wrong more times than I'm right though! Look forward to contributing my input to the site and hearing your opinions

Had to ride my Harley somewhere, better to do it in the small town areas!

Welcome!

You'll laugh at this: I used to tell everyone I lived in San Jacinto. they were like where? City of San Jacinto in the San Jacinto valley, surrounded by the San Jacinto Mountains. Where? I'd say Hemet. Oh I know where that is.

Welcome elcariso510! Thanks for joining us!

Trading based on instinct is financial suicide (doing the opposite even works better. :)). Find a system that seems to be successful and is comfortable for you and take the emotion out of it. It works much better in almost every circumstance.

Good luck!

I use to live in San Jacinto and Corona!

I lived in San Jacinto for 11 years. I just sold my house and moved to Highland in March.

As for elcariso510: we all make bad IFT decisions at least occasionally. You're already on the right track by doing what you can to soak up all the nuggets of info you can get to make yourself a more saavy investor with your account. I completely agree with Tom too. Spend some time experimenting with different strategies for a bit, then stick like glue to a strategy once you find a system that works well for you.
