Intrepid_Timer's PUBLIC Account Talk

As of the close yesterday, the S fund is down 4.04% and the F fund is up 0.93% for the month. Today both are up nicely. Fed manipulation or is everyone just so happy they want to buy something, anything....... :suspicious:

Wonder which will fall back first..........

I should have said "AGG" is up nicely today............;)

Worthwhile Cause

For all you pilots out there. Got this email from a friend:

"Please read this, it's a wothwhile cause!"

Bob

Hi, Bob. Would you mind forwarding this message to your e-mail list? The pilots on your list might be interested in www.pilotsnpaws.org, or might know someone who would be interested. It's a group of volunteer pilots who donate their airplanes and their time to fly dogs (and the occasional cat, ferret, bird, etc.) from "kill shelters" to rescue groups. They've also flown service dogs and dogs for military members. I've participated for a few years and flown more than 100 dogs. It's a great excuse to fly while doing a good deed. Plus, Pilots 'n Paws is a 501(c)(3) organization as are many of the rescue organizations, so you can ask your tax adviser whether any of your costs might be deductible as a charitable contribution. If you're interested, go to the web site and register. In the "profile" section, plug in your home airport and the distance you'd be willing to fly (200 miles is reasonable), and you will receive an e-mail whenever a flight is coming near you. I get at least a dozen e-mails each week and fly four or five times per month. If you're interested and have any questions, contact me directly and I will gladly answer them. I would love to see more pilots participate. It's a worthwhile endeavor and it sure beats the $100 hamburger! Probably now the $150 burger, with the price of fuel. Oh - One thing I almost forgot to mention. Many FBOs offer fuel discounts to pilots who make these flights. I'm based at FDK, where Landmark gives 75 cents/gallon off the cost of full service fuel. So, an excuse to fly while doing a good deed and maybe getting a bit of a tax break plus cheaper fuel... What more could a pilot want?
