IFTs and Share Prices

The search button wasn't helping me out all that well so I do apologize if this question was asked before. When an IFT is done in a timely manner and it kicks in during the close of business of that day, what share prices is the investor locking in? The 4PM share prices at COB? of the 10 AM share prices the following day after the after market trading has taken place? Thank you for your time/ input.

It is the share price at closing if done before 12 noon of same day.
Otherwise, after 12 noon of same day, it will be the share prices at closing of next day.

Lately the IFT confirmation emails that I've been receiving have been coming in around 9PM and 10PM that business day and it always made me wonder. Hooray confidence
