Hi all,

Newbie here trying to get aquainted, and I have a few questions about IFTs. I'm sure these have been covered somewhere, but I've been unable to find them.

OK...so posted price for C on the tsp web site for 5 Mar is 7.9353. So if I IFT money into C before noon EST on 6 Mar, will that be my per-share cost? Similarly, if I sold out of C before noon EST on 6 Mar, would that be the per-share price?

So, taking it a step further, if I bought before noon on 6 Mar, I'd pay 7.9 per...so if the posted 6 Mar price was 8.1, I could sell before noon EST on 7 Mar for that price and a ~2.5% gain? (disregarding that 7 Mar is a Saturday!)

(Disclaimer - not necessarily doing either...just used that as an example.)

Thanks!

Any IFT initiated today before noon(eastern time) will buy or sell shares at today's closing price after markets close. You will not know what the value of the shares you buy or sell until after the TSP prices are posted. Welcome to our world!

Any change (IFT) made after noon on Friday will be the same as an IFT made before noon the following Monday, and will be calculated at Monday's closing prices.
