bank of america and merrill lynch & co. Inc. Are in merger discussions, according to people familiar with the matter.

The talks come amid a wall street scramble to sort out a potential liquidation of lehman brothers holdings inc.
Bank of america had considered buying lehman, but when those talks failed to result in a deal, bofa turned its attention to merrill, which is considered a better fit for the bank.

Much remains uncertain and conditions were fluid.http://online.wsj.com/article/sb122142278543033525.html?mod=hps_us_whats_news

LoL!!!

MER.....BAC.... LoL!!!

If it wasn't for the existing, and likely future -fv's next week, I'd like to snag a position in the I fund, maybe for the rest of the year. Been waiting for the $18.50 mark, could easily hit that, but don't want any FV built into the cost. Something you (350Z) use to include in your estimates was where the fund was with respect to the FV numbers (think you used the term "even"). That seems like the game now, I fund is a bargain, but trying to get the planets in line with regards to the FV is difficult :). I have all my trades left for this month. Don't mind a bit of a primium due to fund entry point, but hate the FV valuation....

Still a noobie after a year :)

Something big is about to occur, that's for sure.

I'm out of trades for this month, unfortunately.

I can certainly see a FV play for tomorrow, and Japan is closed tonight.

Since the market in general is not oversold yet, I'm not ready to go long the I fund.

So much for trying to maintain a positive outlook. After watching the San Diego Denver game, I’m convinced that fraud, thieves and crooks are still very well imbedded in American society. Everyone is on the take. So much for my market sentiment

DOW futures are down 333 points and S@P futures are down 45 points for Monday. Lehman will probably file for bankruptcy.

I funders should not feel as much pain since the dollar is down 1.41%. Japan is closed on Monday for Old Folks Day.

It is going to be a wild ride this week.

Nikkei closed 0.00%
AORD down 1.66% :worried:

FV for Monday (previous)= $+0.0000

dollar down .77% = 78.32

early estimate EAFE down -$0.2270
plus FV Monday (previous) of +$0.0000 = -$0.2270

dollar down .76% = 78.33

early estimate EAFE down -$0.4159
plus FV Monday (previous) of +$0.0000 = -$0.4159

dollar down .37% = 78.64

Our thinking is pretty close.

I did not see your note till after I wrote mine.

We might get a -FV to even out the pain.

Great minds think alike. :D

Looks like the dollar recovered once the Europeans opened. This tells me traders think things are as bad or worst over there.
