I fund for April 08

I wonder how many members would have been in the C Fund, S Fund or I Fund on a week that was the best in 70 years on Wall Street to start a quarter but were locked out or afraid to make a move thanks to the FRTIB. Millions could have been lost. They can not fix that ever there are maybe 4 weeks like that in a year. They must be held accountable. - Keep up the fight - Braveheart

The kicker, as Braveheart points out in his post, is that thousands more TSP members are likely being damaged because they are now afraid to make any IFTs because of the FRTIB. The result is that millions of dollars are being lost, all because of the FRTIB.

That would be me. I missed out on a great opportunity....Thirteen IFTs last year and I get tagged a frequent trader, only four this year BUT three last month so I couldn't move. Cost me quite a bit

Where's the class action suit we need?

Is today doing to be a huge rally draw people from the sidelines in and then the bigboys dump. I can't believe the futures out already for today up almost 100 at 5:00Am EST. So what was the great news - NONE If this a rally on what China - I am in the G Fund thinking would China have an impact on the I Fund positive or negative.

So right now the best funds I see are the S Fund and then the C Fund this really could be a trap pump and dump day so be careful and good luck to those in the market today could see some big gains in all the Funds except the F Fund which will tumble. - Braveheart

For everyone's general information.

I sent a interfund transfer via snail mail on Thursday from my local post office here in SC. It still has not hit the tsp system. It looks like a minimum of at least 4 business days to arrive and post. I was hoping to get out of the I fund before earnings started to hit, no such luck.

My next test will be to overnight it so it arrives before 11 a.m. Then see how long it takes to post.

Anybody else have any luck with snail mail yet ?

Did you send it certified mail with return receipt so you know what date/time it actually was delivered? That is ESSENTIAL for proving loss and harm if it takes an additional 5 days for processing once they receive it.

I purchased delivery confirmation so I know when they get it.

Anidoc, I think they have us all by the **** or **** for the ladies. I don't see any action against them coming. I have signed the petition, and have had my friends sign also. I think the best we can hope for with anythig against the FRTB is 3 transfers per month. It will be very hard to prove and put together anything to get them to re-emburse? (spelling isn't my thing) us for delays or not being able to market time or anything.

Do you know what I mean ?

What do you think ?

I think that even if these limits are put into effect that they will be rescinded if we keep the pressure on mainly because their numbers are bogus and they haven't proven their case that there is a problem, or that limits are the most effective way to fix that perceived problem. I also think that the 500 BRAVE ONES (snail mailers) should file a class action suit because there is no legal basis for the restrictions that have been forced upon them. The interim rule is flawed in many ways. And last but not least the 500 WILL PREVAIL and be reimbursed their losses with interests. They just have to go for it. It is not legal to penalize someone for following existing law and not heeding a threat to impose restrictions if you don't follow a proposed law that isn't on the books yet. The interim rule does NOT supercede existing law, as the existing law has not been rescinded, repealed, or changed YET. FRTIB is wrong.

Years ago people were reimbursed for being in the wrong retirement plan (CSRS vs FERS). There's also been some reimbursements for late postings. However, I'm not sure if OPM, TSP, or the responsible agencies had to reimburse in the first case, or if the agencies or TSP had to reimburse for the late postings.

Count me in on any action, I sent mine last night via Priority Mail with Delivery Confirmation, should arrive within 1 or 2 days (Georgia to Alabama)...I cannot even move to G on-line, NOTHING!!! A total bunch of BS, I have signed the petition as has my wife...Let me know what else we can do...Thanks, EA

I agree with the overnight, that is also my next step after i see how long it takes once the Priority Mail is received....Mr_BOOOOM, have you checked the Delivery Confirmation to see if it has been delivered yet??? (Remember these go to a PO Box, could someone in Birmingham drop it at the Post Office at 9 Am and have it in the system by Noon?!?!?!?!?!? I doubt it...)...

I think there is the very real possibility that some well connected TSP'ers will have daily access whilst the rest of the majority us do not.

EAFE estimate down $0.27
plus FV for Tuesday (previous) of $0.00 = $0.27 :worried:
