Welcome, FishinFool! I just joined a few weeks ago. My PIP was 14.9% for 2012 but could have been better had I come on here sooner. I bailed on Dec 20th and sitting in G right now. Not sure if I'll jump back in just yet.

Hi everybody,

Just checking in after finally bringing self to join this website! I have slowly been learning more about the TSP over the last year or so. Was annoyed to see today that my PIP is like 4.5% over last 12 months. There are sure some better numbers posted here!! I have tried to "macro market time" things over this last year (e.g. ran to G fund around Dec 12 just before things started going downhill in the ramp up to fiscal cliff, then I've gone back to C and S just today now that the goofs in Congress have signed the latest deal... too bad I missed the bump up on 12/31) but I think I stayed in the C and S a little too long at one point earlier this year and I guess that must have smacked my PIP. Anyway I hope to learn a lot from all of you here and will look for some tips posts so I'm not asking people something that's been answered many times before
