So yes, he's a singer from a band. One big anthem song and even a song that was in the Top Ten and got a decent amount of airplay including the vid in rotation on MTV, but still kind of an underground thing.
I loved this band. It had numerous musicians, and not just the basic 4 players. Also (way before it's time), a theatrical and sometimes insane stage show. Some of the song writing could be complexed (almost like a Zappa song), and others not as much. There are some vids of them performing back in 1975 with this crazy stage show. They also put out a Laser Disc (LOL...Remember those???)
Most songs had a theme, where he (the singer in question) would take on the main character of the story (from TV game show host to Biker to glam rock star, etc.....).
The live album is one of my all time favorites. Very "raw", and a great capture of how music used to be before all the "technology" made things boring and over produced.
I'll post it up later if you want to use an online YouTube to MP3 converter (free) to download whatever tracks you want, or the whole album.

So it was your clue about theatrics and awesome musicianship. I couldn't really get it from the pictures as much, but the singer had that funky kinda face..

From my memory that's been battered from youthful indesdescretions, I'm pretty sure they cleaned up some of the more risque stuff for the amusement park show I saw..

The English Rock Star character was known as "Quay Lude". He always came out wearing his QUAY sunglasses that would light up and his guitar in the shape of a giant letter Q.......... LOL

Twins ?????
I always thought these two looked like identical twins in certain photo's, but they're not related at all.
One is a well known musician (guitar), and the other is a well known actress.

Enlisted my "phone a wife" life line.. Almost at the same time we guessed Ally Sheedy, but the funny part was we picked different pictures, I chose the one on the right, she chose the one on the left, but man, they do look identical.
