assuming it's this thursday, if the dow is still denominated in $USD then i'm going with zero, which is what we'll have left in the tank. wait, scratch that, everything has at least some salvage value, so i say $1.29, which is about the cost of a pack of toilet paper.

Let's see. Congress is occupied by a bunch of idiots who are more proned to let the country go into default then agree on something. Considering that, I would say the Dow will be at around 14800 on Thursday.
BUT, those idiots are surrounded by aides and accountants that were hired by their big money campaign benefactors to take care of them. So, my guess is they'll let the market drop like a rock (or so they hope) to around 14800 right up to the debt ceiling deadline, then go all in on stocks, and make a fat return on investment. Never squander an opportunity even if our country's credit rating is hanging in the balance.

I'll go with 15650 by close of business on Thursday.
