Anytime I start to hear the solution to a problem (Mac/Fae) is having 'big brother' step in and save us makes my stomach turn.

The blood letting today could be in tons. Meanwhile, the clowns in DC are wringing their hands.

Here comes the FED bailing out Mac/Fae. The market can not rebound unless we let the process play out.

Jumped to the beach COB today, but looks as if I may be a day late. Still, will take my gains and sit it out as the market withdraws. Will time entry again to make small gains. It's a marathon, not a sprint!

Gave up over 1/2 my earnings for the past week. Still ahead though. For those of us approaching retirement with only ~300K need to be conservative in this market. To many bears. If you want to lose another 10% to ride a 3% upwave, go for it. That's 'fuzzy' math.

Terrible times... Wall Street just finished it's worst week in it's 122 year history. This crash is taking on epic proportions.

Bloom just said the DOW should open up 1100 points DOWN in a couple minutes. This will not end anytime soon. We will feel pain until maybe there is nothing left.

Birch- Like a fine cigar, I'm glad to see that one only uses 'superlative' bull manure as opposed to over the counter 'generic' manure. :notrust:
Actually, I am camping in the 'G' fund at the moment however, have been buying 82 shares of 'C' fund for the past few pay periods. I intend to double down on that next week.

Can someone help me out here? I have looked around the site hoping to find an answer to an IFT question.

Does an IFT made before noon on the last day of the month count towards the next months allocation or the current month? I want to be in stocks on 1 Nov but have no October allocations left.

An IFT made on the last day of the month before noon counts toward the current month.

If you've used your allotted IFTs, you would have to wait until after noon on the last day of the month to make an IFT. In that case your IFT would be executed at the close of business on the 1st of the month.

Well, yesterday the Dow was up 75 after Papa Ben spoke. Then program sells hit and the market started to circle the drain.

Today, it has not even come up for air.
