Where are you getting the interest rate change from? I see in your account thread that you gave the interest rates for the past several months. Are you calculating the value or have you found it online somewhere?FUTURESTRADER

rate is shown through 'account access' - 'Loans' - 'Amount Available/Loan Request'

Another way is "What's New" - "Current Information" - the 6th arrow down is the loan interest rate.

Another G fund rate increase made it on the Crystal Ball/Carnac schedule...uh maybe its the utter way around I think....:nuts:
Looking at the 2nd for the next meeting of predictions and increase dates.....

I have the dates as 10\2 and then 10\6. It may be possible we get it on the 29th because I'm not sure where they were at when we got the last increase. You can't just start from a whole number like $11.57. It would be more like $11.570027851. So i just guesstimated.............

Mr Howell says that the G fund will close at its all time high today at $11.57
Whats that? Oh you want the date of the next rate increase. Mr Howell said that a 6 day cycle should pay out on Friday the 29th.
But like Mlk_Man pointed out, we dont know if the share price is at 11.570 or 11.579I believe the penny will come on 10/2. Now I have a question on rates. The new rate is posted in various places but it has never been updated on the first day of the month. Does the rate actually change on the first of the month or not until it gets posted on the TSP website?FUTURESTRADER

a good question, a valuable piece of info to know. I haven't paid attention. You know for a fact it's NOT on the first of the month? Must be some rule.

Should get the penny tonight and if my calculations are correct, Friday the 6th and Tuesday the 11th. It's real close to coming on the 10th so if my guesstimation as to what the G fund price was on Sept 11th was a little high, we could get the penny on Oct 10th instead.
