Futures point to steady start for Asian stocks after Wall Street gains on earnings
The pick-up in sentiment stateside came amid the churn of positive earnings and after Chinese shares rallied during the Asia trading session. The USTR said that 25 percent U.S. tariffs on $16 billion in Chinese goods will take effect on August 23. Asian stocks were set to trade sideways at the open on Wednesday, with trade concerns in the background and after Wall Street gained on the back of strong corporate results.
