What do you think someone means when they say that a fundamental shift will take place on the 12th or 13th of this month?

Fundamental usually refers to the economic or financial data that supports a trend, as opposed to a technical shift which is purely based on charts.

Exactly!

Fundamentals [Market Behavior] business cycles, sector rotation, economic indicators.

"Fundamental Shift" by itself is like saying "it's gonna rain".

February is the weak link in "Best Six Months"

Next week, according to the Stock Traders Almanac, Bears cover four days with a Witch on Friday!

If bears are covering, shouldn't that mean they are buying stocks to cover their short positions (or Puts)? With all that purchasing to cover, I would think stock prices will go higher. Although somebody must know something since so many Put Options were purchased recently.

The weekly page was full of Bears! They covered the page like a bunny. Whether or not they wore socks and shorts wasen't mentioned....:D
