62 foot sloop. Twin diesels for aux propulsion, generator, ac, tv, stereo system...ah the hardships of the sea going life.

As always, read those suggestions....I found great deals on these books at the used books stores in my area or on Amazon.com.

Sweet PO, I'm getting cert next year for CG level open sea sailiing....I want to retire @ 57 and sail the world for three/four years before "retiring"!

Yep, I just went through those calculations last week and also calculated catchup contribution impacts on take home pay and budget-first year for doing catchups this coming year-I'm 4 years behind already.

Congrats on the college kids thing. Don't they always amaze us!

I noticed that as of the 4 Dec 10 LES I am at $15,875. The $635 contribution on 18 Dec 10 will put me over the $16,500 limit. Damn. Might have lost some matching contributions. Maybe not. LES run from the first pay period which is not 1 Jan. Someone at DFAS is paid to figure all this out. (I don't work for DOD, DFAS is my pay provider agency)

Like alevin I too have neglected the catch up for many years. It's not automatic so I forget. I believe the old fart per pay period amount is $511. Plus or minus.
