I don't think so but there are a large number of commercial shorts right now. I think gold may pull back 20-30% at some point but will continue to $1500 this year.

I'm a complete amatuer who may get schooled, we will see.

Not me, I don't have time for the challenges and I'm not going to invest that kind of time for a baby return.

I realise the dollar has been rising but I don't believe it will last.

It's interesting that at about 4:45 minutes in Rogers sounds like he wrote the Obama speech today, but Obama said it after he passed the largest spending bill in human history and is continuing to throw money at the banks. Total hypocricy!

I totally agree with it being because other currencies/countries are worse off.
I still think that other countries will see shortly that the dollar is not a safe bet.

Look at Hillary over in China basically begging them to buy our debt.

Either side of the dollar is how it works. I buy and sell (long & short)everyday. Movements make my money. It is easier to see than the stock market for me. Plus, because I see certain moves based on the general markets, gives me an easy way to determine which side I need to be on.

Stayed in for today though, and I will post a return to 100% G to kick off the nightmare of unemployment numbers.

USDJPY - OMG If you haven't heard I play FOREX. I use this pair mainly for my investing. If you haven't noticed, we are about 800 pips up from the second of February.

That means for my $10.00 position at 88.63 is now worth about $90.00.
But I have more than that position working for me right now. Bragging? Of course. With DCA'ing and repositioning This month looks to be about a 500% month. If life was only this easy!!!!!

Some resistance. Alot of my stops are in the 97.25 - 97.80 right now. The real problem with this run, right now, is not the perceived strength of the dollar but the weakness of the Yen. If the Asia Reserve gets put together and implemented, that could damper more upward movement. But even with the manipulation efforts failing the last two weeks, I don't really feel 98 is a serious stop on the way back to the 104-105 days. It might even stimulate the carry trade from other currencies.

South Korea is 4 days away. So I'll sit from there, and maybe come back with a vengeance!!!!!!

That reminds me - Sarah recently went to one of their Public Saunas (or Baths)

You need to realize my kids are super straight laced - I mean never puffed on anything - I doubt they even went to an R movie - let alone drugs or alcohol ....

Plus the school she teaches at is part of a big church - and she's the most authenic lady I could ever imagine...

but she is really into the Korean Culture and doing everything possible to fully incorporate herself into 'being Korean' so it turned out really cool. States going from the showers through some public area was awkward but once she got to the sauna (pool) it turned out to be a neat experience and is actually looking forward to going back.

Someone taught her how to bow - and apparently when you bow to someone they give you money

Anyway it sounds like a really nice place - so I hope your experience is comparable to hers.

That respect is probably from her position as teacher. They hold their teachers in the highest regard over there.

Unfortunately for me, I will be smack in the middle of an Air Force game playing situation. Since the base has been there since the war, it is very interesting that the locals treat us with a little bit of contempt and they know we have money so the shopkeepers don't haggle as much.

I was stationed there in '90-'91 and saw a different perspective. Now my main function is to ensure that my 25 airmen just stay out of enough trouble to make the return trip to the states. It's nice to have rank for the pay, but sometimes the responsibilities can be overwhelming.
