This market is in the corner taking shot after shot. THIS MARKET HAS TO FAIL TO RECOVER.

BUY & HOLD IS DEAD right now. You cannot justify this technique to me during this market. The only thing I'm holding is G.

unfortunately, there are too many ostriches out there holding SPY and keeping the volume, and ^VIX, unusually low - - - or - - - shall we say, alot lower than the 700 million shares and VIX north of 80 back in November - - - - not ancient history, folks.

So WTF? It's as if who-ever is holding this stuff just won't let go. Ever. It's like they are holding AIG stock or something, oh yeah, I forgot - we all own AIG stock now. May I sell mine please?

Anything can happen.......last few bad NFP's were bought into. I am in agreement that this will change friday if we have a fourth miss in a row. It's not over till it's over, and it's not over, and won't be - this year at least.

Hey Everyone,

Back from the Land of the Morning Calm. I have not been able to review all the posts in the past three weeks but will start this evening.

South Korea: It is still there. Not much has changed since my last visit in August. Bought 5 purses for the women in my life and they are ecstatic.

FX market: I'm through the testing phase and I am rolling out my new program. I will be spinning up 2 accounts this week and 20 accounts next week.

Homefront: My wife made it through my long absence by recruiting a lady to help her with her medications, too which I'm eternally grateful.

Small World: I sat next to a guy on the plane that actually works with automated implants for dopomine stimulation and had the rare "technical" talk about the apparatus they use. FDA approved! He gave me some specialists that might be interested in working with my wife to alleviate her condition. I pray that the saving grace of doing my military time is that the Lord may have blessed my family with a chance to correct that which has been elusive to date.

Nice market numbers last week and today. I hope the train ride to recovery is upon us. I don't feel comfortable dumping into the market at this point and wish everyone "Happy Investing!"

I will post more later and thank those who prayed for my people while we were playing. We all made it back safe and sound.

Later All:cool:

Welcome back, my friend! My prayers have been going and will continue to go to you and YOUR Lady so that she may find some relief. I think of her often and am glad she had help while you were gone.

{signs "from my heart"} Glad you're back safe, and thank you for your service!

All my best,
Lady

Welcome back Frixxxx,

It's good to see ya back safe and sound and especially glad everything worked out at home for your wife. :D That had to be a relief.

Thanks Lady and CB!!!

Jet lag recovery systems have been deployed and I'm almost back on schedule.

Yen bounced nicely for a sweet reversal. Love those mood swings in the market. I'll take 200pip swings everyday.

China is getting testy about the dollar. As soon as they stop buying treasuries from us, bye-bye market:blink:

Watch out, Russia and China will join forces in an attempt to make a global currency happen.:suspicious:

Too much catch up on work to talk more, watch out for 99 on the Yen!

Welcome back! Our prayers for you and your wife will continue. It's really nice to know there are many on this MB who believe in the power of prayer.--Ron

Well everyone, its been a week since my last update.

100% G Still
Forecast:
1. Unemployment
a. Japan dropped to 4.4%
b. Germany lost 19K
c. US 660K forecasted to 8.5%---OUCH!!!

2. FOREX
a. Last week forecasted 99 Yen - Cleared way too much on this one. Long all week and bought the bottom yesterday. 6 positions for 250+ pip movement. These movements bring me up to 410% since February 1st.
b. This is a serious support line for the week. 99.42, will start shorting at that position.
c. My software is now complete...why I've been scarce.

3. GDP
This scares me and the forecasts are too close to the break even to call.

I told everyone I was waiting for April and it is here. I will be watching your movements, those who are on top. I'm watching the heavy hitters.

Good investing and watch the G20 Summit at your leisure.

Would like to see what people on this board think of Foreign Currency.

Please be honest....You will not be contacted about your vote unless requested through this thread.

Thanks to those pariticpating in the survey.

Who would have thought that 742,000 MORE people out of work would allow the market to rise.

The circle of economics is broken.

More people with no work, no money, and no homes and this market turns green? hmmmm

Houses are selling? Another hmmm....I work with people who have just bought their 2nd and third rentals.

Oh well. Sitting once again!!!!!

100% G is a comfortable place in this day and age.

I totally agree with you - in that you'd think with the FACTS on our economic circumstances that the Markets would be diving instead of raising.

At some point however the Markets will take the lead in the Economic turn around - which seems strange but that's how it works. So we may be entering the first real stage of that movement.

I'm personally hoping for NEW LOWS - more an ego thing cause that's what I've held to - then going in all the way on the long term.
I seriously doubt the Markets will go much lower than their previous lows before it's over (but that's simply due to the overall loss so far and the anticipated recovery to come).

Currency trading is too risky for me - I'm way more Fund oriented.

Take care,

Understood. I myself have spent close to a year analyzing and forecasting and trading to understand the key elements. Fortunately, there seem to be more steady indicators and daily transactions that I can take advantage of rather than being limited to the 2 IFT transactions a month here.

I'm scheduling my trader certification test (my partner already has his) so that we can bill through accounts directly.

We are happy with our results and are literally, sitting back and watching accounts grow. We have some VC already interested and will wait until we have 3- 6 months under our belt to jump in...So now it is time and patience........

The article is scary enough, but estimates show the US is going to give 900 million of this.

The REALLY scary part is that the estimate for next year is 5 TRILLION, which will mean by the previous breakdown we will fund an addition 4+ TRILLION for this effort.

Where is this money going to come from? That clock is going to get bigger. Can everyone have a few more kids to spread out this debt?

I AM NOT HAPPY. Not only are they grabbing money on global scales but now the WORLD is going to tell us how to TAX money, regardless of citizenship. Ladies and gentlemen, if you can't socialize the country, just do it to the globe.

I have always said that to destroy a country, all you have to do is crash its' economics, but going willingly is pathetic.

Should have said 900 BILLION!

That's funny  - in a way - because when I looked at the actual NUMBER

and read the post; my mind automatically made it Billion

so this one was more startling... I'm like what

Need to change the subject for a second as I'm on a very fast emergency break....

When I got back after being away from Ella for a week - she was so excited to see me that she went crazy - kept running and jumping up on me - but I couldn't hold her cause she was so excited she had to run in some big circles and keep coming back.

Finally got a good hold of her - but she was super pumped with tons and tons of energy. So the first few days I let her more pull the leach and play it out.

Yesterday evening decided enough is enough - time to take control and so I keep her right to my left. It's funny because all I have to do is shake the leach - kind of like a whip - and it just rattles the choke collar and she responds like she just got shocked or something.

So not to diminish from the wife and kids - but I hope Nina went nuts with you and you with her.

Good night to all

Interesting you asked, Nina actually reacts very differently when I get back from a long trip. She whimpers and cries like she did something wrong and crawls up into a ball at my feet. I have to assure her it is ok and stroke her head until she stands up. I have to slowly rub her shoulders until she wags her tail. Then she just kinda hangs out with me for a couple of hours and it's like I never left.

If I try to act like I never left from the start, she actually pees from excitement/fear. Like it was her fault I left for so long.

Side note: Leash - I always hold the end of the leash just above her eyes if she gets too giddy. Just a warning but it holds her back.

That is probably the MOST BEAUTIFUL story I've ever heard.

THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH !!!!!

On that note I'll try to get caught up - as I never leave on Friday until everything's done.
