There are many issues affecting the carry trade for Americans: global economy needs strengthened, tax footprint, and readiness of investors.

In 2008, I decided to ride the carry trade (at the level I could). As we know, the carry trade fell out of graces with many factors.

I have just moved and have decided to run some more back testing on my MT4 platforms. I want to see if all the indicators are shaping up.

Realistic in old form, no, not promotable or sustainable in current conditions.

If data changes for the economies of the world, it could become plausible. I'll follow-up more this weekend.

Great stuff, I'm under-educated on this topic, I look forward to hearing more.

Well, interesting weekend.

Doing a major software release. Son's car died, and I had all my tax info ready to go.

Release is needing a nursemaid and cardioloogist - fingers are crosed twice.

Son gets a vacation from work until technician can do a review and quote $$$$$

I'm getting 5 figures back, after decimal point.

Well, no engine overhaul for kid, but $1500 in repairs. Expensive lesson in preventative maintenance. He understands now that maintenance is a must.

Well final touches on release today, will see how it pans out.

Nikkei up 2%, Cyprus on the vote now.

28 days until my cruise, who knows when furloughs start, but will have staycations rest of the year.....

Wake up this morning (took day off), go to office and check futures. Walk downstairs and my wife's watching Fox News.

I say, "Turn that crap off!"
She asks, "Why?"
I say, "They're liars!"
She inquires, "How do you know?"
I say, "The ticker at the bottom shows the market futures green!"
She frowns, "Are you sure?"
I say, "I check the stocks every morning, and I'm sure 4 independent sources showing 64 points down."

She promises never to watch Fox again, and I say, "Thank you."

The education continues at my house.


Off to the DMV today, to get my gun permit, er I mean my VA Driver's License.
