Frixxxx's Account Talk!

OK, even-steven.

Nice ride for those in fresh today.

I'm hitting 1100 and I am on the fence and my research has got me right there in the middle.

OK, looking left....looking right.

Nope, I think I'm riding this out a little longer......I think the "Christmas Carol" is going to be sweet this year. (Even though I think Jim Carey will screw up a classic)

Anyway, I will look to re-allocate soon and balance my position with my goals.

Currently: 35-C 35-S 30-I

Have a great day/night!

Happy investing!

I'm not far behind you ol friend. I expect to stay invested for the remainder of the year, only difference being I'd like to switch fron S to I next month.

Frixxxx,
You and I are sitting on the same #'s. I've gotten to the point that I'm not looking at how high it could go but Safe enough to look at how much I'm willing to risk on corrections. So far the corrections have been feable attempts to put some fear in investors.

The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.......

I'll be posting some "concrete" numbers with my inflation indicators this weekend...(Barring computer issues at home)

I believe that "program selling" will be the only resistance we see in the next month....but I am wary of the post quarterly corrections.

Watch gold, I am.....when the dollar starts to strengthen...balance...don't get strung out for a six month correction. I'm staying high on stocks until then.
If correction occurs:
70% G 10-10-10 C-S-I with DCA into the C for all corrections.

I like the idea. Been trying to play that game all year. Right now, I am going to wait till the market turns over before I bail. My 'market timing' has cost me money - and, has it really improved my risk...

But, don't you think 70% in a cash equivalent a bit too risk adverse...

IMO if you set and reached goals then the answer is no. However if you're ba!!$ to the wall full speed ahead trying to regain (gamble) every penny you've ever lost because the market is potentially ripe for the pickings then the answer is yes.
If you have reached goals already then I believe Frixxx's allocation will allow them to overachieve without uneccessarily risking to much. Might be a tad risk adverse but thats just MHO.

I've got the same feeling as you. Unfortunately used my last transfer. So I sit c-20, s-20 and i-10. Beginning to get my nerve back since retiring back Dec. Nov 1st will move another 25 into the i fund. Sat on the pad for six months of the year. Got a little frogish and jumped back onto the pan.:D

Guys,

Sorry about the 70% number...that is my estimate on the expected correction. Depending on my estimates I will reflect the proper protection.

Sorry, very busy at work today so participation will be low.....

Merlin...where's that Bulll avatar???

Waffling,

That's all you can call this market this week....I was expecting the head butts against 10K Dow and 1100 S&P. (I joked with a co-worker that we would cross 10K 6 times before we went up to 11K.)

I'm still bullish, but I was taken aback by the announcement of Sun laying-off 3,000. I'm still hopeful that unemployment numbers will still show we are losing less jobs (Christmas hiring).

Dollar can't be beaten down too much farther....if it is, I've still got the "I" Fund.

MS reported good today, maybe they'll keep it up for a quarter.

Happy investing all!

Frixxx,

Are you going to let us know when we can short the EUR/USD? :D
We will know when to get out of the I-Fund as well?

Thanks,

Steve

My NDA is until January first. I have to wait until then......however, I can tell you, when Japan raises it's interest rates it will strengthen that Yen and the dollar has to sink.

But if US raises interest rates before Japan, we will get strong and quick.

I wish I could post positions:mad:

Showme-> I will use my sick leave

CountryBoy->Share and share alike:laugh:

Steady->Are you phil?:suspicious:

35 C - 35 S - 30 I

Dollar is getting strong but that might make some people happy this morning.

Now, can we just forget about Wells Fargo and make some money?

Have a great day everybody!!!!!

Last post of the day-> Stop celebrating!

I will take my hit today......I'm 6% for the month so even if we drop 500 points I still win.

If we do, I buy in next Friday so hopefully it will be cheap....

If things move quickly I hope for 11,000K by the end of the year.

I will not be posting investment tools next week, and I will try and get my inflation information up as well.

35-35-30 CSI:cool:

Note: 350Z -> If you got time...PM is in your box.

Hey everybody,

Can't help but feel like the most manipulated buy and sell run went through the markets this week. The GDP numbers could not have been a surprise, so why the big pullback?

Anyway, here we are again in another made some lose some......

Since 10/02 i had been up 7% (first 10K DOW), now, I'm scraping 2% for the month.

I should have jumped today to save money, but I was greedy, but what it does do for me is now, I'm in the market on the frist of November. I can jump anytime I want and get back in when I want. So, will be waiting for a decent run before retreating to the G for a breather.

Retail is the number to watch now....SOOOO much emphasis on who's buying and who's working!

Still trying to get this feeling out of me...no emotional trading!!!!!!!

So two question for the day remain~Where's my buy in? When do we hit 10K again?

Happy investing all!

Oh well,

Well, once again, the sentiment has cast the market in a down swing for the month. All possiblities today have been cut back by programmed selling, I wish I could blame it on someone else but the brokerage houses set these levels and are pillaging every account for returns and end-of-year salaries. I fully expect this will start the end. I thought we could keep enough sentiment in the market to keep this from happening.

I am sorry to be so blue in this red market, but next week I think unemployment numbers will be up since this administration extended unemployment benefits AGAIN.

So, I have a whole weekend to set my positions to get out and resume lily pad positions. The only saving grace is that my pittance of 5% gets doubled by Uncle Sam.

Great weekend all, I'm out!:notrust:

Take heart Frixxxx,

That matching is pretty good by todays standards. And, any dump means you buy a bigger portion of American and First World economies. :)

To make yourself feel better, multiply your normal allocation by the share price in October 2007. It will get there. Sooner or later. Tasty :)

All,

Sorry for the rants today, I found out that my daughter was robbed at gunpoint last night  and I am a little freaked out for her safety. It took three cowards to steal her laptop, cellphone, and purse. She lives 10 hours away from her mother and I so it is a little rough. Not to mention that she was also attacked 10 years ago, where after miles of chasing after him with a blood hound we never caught the b@stard.

The thievery that is occurring in the streets and on the Street is almost enough to declare martial law. I'm so mad!

Again, Please forgive me on my rants, it has been a rough day.

Take heart Frixxxx

Thanks Boghie, needed it!

Frixxxx, so sorry to hear what happened to your daughter. Hearts are with you all.

Damn Frixxxx,

Im so sorry. That's every father's nightmare, that something bad will happen to their daughter ( our always to be little girls). I'm glad that your daughter wasn't physically hurt, I'm assuming that of course, but I pray that she didn't. You have every right to be mad and rough on your posts. Your daughter is much more important.

You and your family will be in our thoughts and the cowards should be punished to the fullest extent as all criminals should be.

Hang in there bud, from one father of a daughter to another.
