FAB1 Account Talk

Sawright - It really didnt bother me that much - all that really counts is whats IN MY account. lol.

Your right! The only thing that counts is the real TSP. Today finally pushed me back to the positive side YTD in my TSP. It feels good for now becuase who knows what will happen tomorrow. :D

True. But I think if I had went away in May I would have about 20% more than I have now.

Since the Trend is Your Friend. I am staying long for now. These dumb sayings aren't so dumb maybe?

May, June and July didn't hurt me that much. At worse I was 8% off my yearly high. August and September on the other hand kicked my butt. I was as much as 22% below my high point.
I'm a little nervous about tomorrow and Thursday. I think November has the potential to give us some good numbers but December could be a tough month. December may follow the news coming out of Black Friday and the following Monday. I forget what they call it now, internet or online Monday, something like that.

This is a friendly trend I can live with. Cant wait to see the update on the Tracker tonite
(keeping in mind my numbers are about -1.5% south of reality) thats good!

Tempting to do and end of the month short, but...

Where are you and what you doing? Must be a boss now since your posting has stopped. Just thought to say hi.:)

Oh just doing more reading than posting I suppose - Actually, if I was a "boss" I'd have more time on my hands...at least the managers around here seem to be overpaid and underworked. Id say could reveal a lot more detail but it might give away my secret identity. There are spies, everywhere...

After receiving a royal trouncing last year 2012 is the year FAB is going to play it cool.

Although the volatility of the past few months seems to have settled for now I am not fully
convinced that upheavals in the Euro zone are behind us and they can trigger wild swings.

This year I am investing with less exposure (time) and possibly also less amounts when
trading stock and bonds. When I face the fact that I could have had more money in my
TSP from my contributions and the G fund - I have to also admit my strategies for the year sucked.

So capital preservation and less risk is the path I intend to try to take - I could retire in about a
decade!

After this current time in the market, I'll try to find a less risky time for you to enter. This move may just make a little more gain. If 1320ish breaks we'll have to rethink it. Almost like the 2009 wall of worry. Everybody looking for the drop that doesn't come and it just keep going up. Hope I didn't jinks it.

Sold I fund today with some profit under my belt.

I see Country Boy's thread got closed. Why??

There used to be a conservative Group here, must be the same reason.

Yup, Tom is putting the cabash on anything political...

It is discussed among the moderators. If we could discuss politics in an open and adult manner there would be very few issues. The problem is that some folks are very opinionated and see everything only one way (theirs). The other problem with the political hot potato is the name calling, finger pointing and the blame game. It's just best that we stay out of the politics and focus on helping everyone make money in our TSP accounts.

Oh let's try. "Is it fair that those who work full-time jobs and sometimes more like Nasa to make ends meet have to pay taxes to support up to 99 weeks of unemployment benefits for those who don't work?"

Birch, This could be an interesting topic. Hopefully FAB wouldn't mind his account being hijacked. Unfortunately at this time I have to recluse myself from said topic, my wife is currently unemployed.

Who else wants a 50 day ema buying opportunity? Can you feel a correction coming?

Do I sound like Tom if I say this is "overdue"?

Do I sound like Birchtree if I say that this market can stay overbought for a very long time with volume as low as this...

The eye fund doesn't look like a happy place today so far...but I am happy that I decided not to buy it yesterday about 11:50 am.
