What's up with the F-fund? Been really sliding lately. Is it the prospect of interest rate increases this year that's driving it down?

Took me nearly 2 years to kick the chain smoking habit, not an easy thing to do. My father was a chain smoker, He finally quit, Dr's orders.

I never smoked (don't hate me!) but my father smoked from 10 to like 70 and only quit
when he got the point that he was 'coughing up a lung' everynight. He's gonna be 85 this
summer so I guess it's never too late. In contrast, my mother passed in 2010 (she had a major
stroke complicated by COPD). She 'only' smoked 1 pack a day for about 10 years in her 20's but had
significant lung damage that manifested itself when she got older. Her pulmonologist told me
that smoking affects different people in widely, sometimes dramatically different ways.

My father stopped smoking when emphysema symptoms worsened, scared him so strongly that he stopped smoking within a few months. A lot of second hand smoke in the house with six kids around. Great you never picked up the habit.
