Ethereum

Is this a gift or is the China ban a deal breaker?

I had a limit order in at $338 that got filled last night (currently $298).

I had a more aggressive (or wishful) price on my bitcoin limit order, $4295, which also got hit. (Currently $4330).

I took the opportunity to sell my etereum on this intraday bounce, taking a loss on the trade. As I mentioned in the previous post, I think this decline in bitcoin is not for the same reason as ether's drop and more likely an opportunity so I bought another 1.34 bitcoin.

Seems eth and btc have stabilized here. Wonder if this is a good place to buy more?

Coinbase has another site : https://www.gdax.com

You still use coinbase for deposits, etc., but then you can quickly transfer the money or cryptos to GDAX and trade. Spreads are 100% better. Limits, stops orders, and volumes, plus you see the "level II" type orders waiting out there.
Thanks for this Tom. I now have a GDAX account and looking forward to trading. Fees do look much lower. Just deposited some USD.

ETH has a double top? or is it building a cup and handle? IDK but waiting and watching. BTC chart looks better right now.

Great! Yeah the difference is night and day between GDAX and Coinbase.

Oh, OK. I was looking at a tighter chart. But yeah, it looks like we got a pullback from that double top, and yes, it could be forming a handle now. Good call.

By the way, I'm getting into litecoin. I like the chart and percentage wise, it's moving nicely every day. If it makes a double top it will have to go up about 25%.

Looking to buy a hard wallet for cryptocurrency, mostly Ethereum. Anyone here using one or have any recommendations? I was looking at the Ledger Nano S or a Trezor ?

Ethereum is on sale today. It's down about 20% in the last 24 - 48 hours. $411

That said, it's also still up 48% in November so maybe it's not a bargain. :D

Are you crypto-traders having fun yet?

I took quite a hit on ethereum this week. I was in at $1267 and it ran over $1400. I'd normally take the money and run but I missed most of the run from $750 to $1300 last time, so I held. Of course everything started tanking and it went down as far s $850 but I was able to sell it for $1022 when it rebounded. I then put in a limit order at $898 which got filled last night when it went all the way down near $750.

It's near $900 right now. Wild ride! Seems like all of my crypto posts end with that. :)

Took the hit too, but using it to DCA a new position. Need Ethereum to buy Ripple right now in my setup. I missed the sub $ price, I am watching for another dip before buying.

I think some people took their annual payout early this year to protect some longs in their portfolio.

I am mining Ethereum then moving it over to Binance to buy alt coins with. I don't hold it for very long.

I bought this am and I filled at $918.00. Let's see if Asia kills it tonight, no stop loss set yet.

I may be too cautious here, but I'm looking at the September sell-off where the first rebound got sold hard.

September selloff ...
