Interesting thing here. Depending on your upbringing and the teachings you received, you may or may not be leaving tomorrow. The dead are supposed to go first. That ought to be quite a sight.

Three of us fed types are working tomorrow on a major equipment/system upgrade. We are a diverse group. Different religious backgrounds. We have discussed this semi-seriously. In a tiny part of your mind, you do wonder a bit. Don't you?

We decided to go ahead with the job, even if none of us are here after 6PM others will benefit. I did ask one of the suits if we could get special holiday pay for tomorrow. He just turned and walked away. Seems some are a little upset about this.

Best of luck all. We should know in about 4 1/2 hours. (3 1/2 if you acknowledge Tonga)

If they ask us to work on Oct 21, we may have to demand that premium pay.

I truly feel sorry for these deluded folks. Tried to talk to one the other day, and they were just so angry. Not passion or fervency, just anger and arrogance. No pleading to repent, just empty warning.

I am concerned that many of these sad individuals will suffer due to the great disappointment http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Disappointment as others have.

The amazing thing is that even prophetic failure does not put an end to their movements. I am sure they already have an excuse prepared like last time.

However, I do believe in the Blessed Hope of Christ's Imminent return and try to live in a way that I am prepared and ready.

I read a lot as an early 20-something, including Hal Lindseys books, somehow the timing thingy never quite stuck-there was this little line in the Good Book itself that kept getting in the way...something about None but the Father knows when that day will arrive. so just live our lives every day as if...
