Getting new IFTs next week. Will see if I enter. I fund's mid-point of Bollinger band line is still sloped up.

Good morning, here are charts before noon IFT cutoff. Considering an entry due to big drop caused by Iran issue. This could be a good buy point, but would be against my usual strategy. Maybe just a pinky toe entry...Lol! Will see. I fund still looks best as the C fund mid-point of Bollinger band was sloped downward last week. S fund now moving sideways (mid-point).

Okay. I am entering 25% I fund because mid-point of BB has been rising for months and I do believe any hit on oil will recover. I think Straits of Hormuz will be okay. Also, entering S fund 15% because it looks like it is going up via look at mid-point of BB. Definitely not going C fund because it's BB mid-point has been going down for a month. Best Wishes!

Hi TNWhisky, I will be posting earlier today. Oh my... figures that as soon as I deviate from my strategy, the market falls! Uggh.... I just did not think that Iran could so greatly destroy confidence in the Strait's safety. I hope we are able to destroy the rest of the ballistic missiles and drones. Drones will be tough to kill and then of course the concerns about proxy terrorists in the area of the Straits.

It is very concerning that 11 insurance companies are refusing to insure the ships at this time. However, I believe Trump will do something to bring stability to the oil market and to bring better security to the Straits to ensure commerce continues. I just hope the insurers steady their sea legs. I have confidence that ships will be able to go through Straits of Hormuz by this week or next week.

Crazily---I have even been thinking about adding more to my position. But I think I will hold off another day to reconsider.

Hmmm.... I have sat on the sidelines since mid Jan after dumping C and S. Did not hold I at all and shame on me for not jumping on crazy trend. Will have to do some reading and see how US dollar acts during crazy times. Is it going to continue a strong posture for a tiny minute? I would particularly not like to fight my way out of a remorseful trade?....

Hi ChrisRN, I do not know how the dollar acts during crazy times. Market has been very volatile. I usually look at dollar when I am in the I fund as the dollar seems to act inversely to the I fund. But that is not always true. I mainly look at RSI, Stochastic and MACD plus the slope of the mid-point of Bollinger Bands and where the candle is in relation to it. I do like to listen to Ira Epstein daily.

My move into market on Monday was primarily because I have been out of market for so long, and because I wished to get into the I fund as it has been on a tear upward for a long time. Its mid-point (18 MA) has been sloped up and so that is very healthy looking to me.

I am going to revise my strategy some regarding my exits. Due to high volatility, I get pulled out often with large drops only to see the trend resume a day later. So I am thinking to keep my strategy but not exit until day 2 of an exit signal to confirm that the down trend is going to continue. So many whipsaws are killing me. That revised strategy would have helped me in February.

Hello, Happy Monday to you! Here are the charts before noon IFT cutoff. Market continues down due to higher oil prices and instability in middle east and fear of oil not making it through the Straits of Hormuz. I still believe this is temporary drop and will remain in to not solidify my losses. From all I hear, things should get much better within a month. I guess we shall see...Crossing my fingers. Hello, here are charts before noon IFT cutoff time. Liking that little bit of green but I am confused on why we had I-fund go up yesterday and yet we got very little in TSP. I understand there is a timing and exchange difference, but this is just insane. I guess I just don't know enough nor trust the processing there. Best Wishes!

Annie, there is a pretty good discussion on it in my talk thread if you want some insight on these I fund adjustments, I have been tracking them. In short what happened yesterday in the ACWX is because there were big gains after those foreign markets closed around 3pm eastern yesterday, so TSP fair valuation adjustment went back down near the prices when those markets closed.

Decided to start up my account talk thread. Joined the Auto tracker and forum and just started moving in December of 2025.

My 2025 year finished at +13.78% I was able to squeak out more at the years end with a few moves. Prior to this I never really moved my TSP money or paid attention to it while I was active duty.

I set a personal goal of +2% gain per month or +24% for the year for 2026. I have primarily been using I and some timing of S for gains and then using the G fund as my fall back to prevent loses and lock in gains until I get my moves back for the next month.

So it would appear that if they use their closing, then there should be a gain occur the following day... or at least be considered. I sure hope so. Thanks Tom!!!
