DreamboatAnnie's Account Talk

For next week, I think there is some Consumer price index information to be announced...I think it came out Friday, but news release is May 22?? Also Have been hearing the talking heads say that a default in Greece would result in a big hit to the markets. Not sure what the timeline is on that. Surely news will start to leak out before any deadline so could get shaky as that time approaches. Just another item to be on the lookout for.

I looked at item posted here on TSPTalk about whether market is getting ready to correct. Thank you!! Links to Chris Ciovacco video on YouTube...indicates that as of now various comparison charts to treasuries, corporate bonds, dividend paying stocks, etc are not now looking like the same situations that led to corrections in 2008 and 2011. That is comforting but as usual that could all change. I still am very cautious about that. Still 80% invested...mainly in the "I" fund.

Best wishes to everyone on your investments!!!!!!!

Thanks for the post Annie. I'm just hoping for a "nice" week...one with positive returns for TSPers. That would be just wonderful. If not, I'll be pulling the plug again real soon.

Well all I can say is I just got back from a very nice evening out with a friend..... Went to nice karaoke bar.. Drank and sang a few songs, and had a great time!! It's nice to get out sometimes!!! Probably had a few too many.... Jell-O shots!! Gosh those are great. Sure helps to take the edge off! Sang Linger by Cranberries, Before he Cheats by Carrie Underwood, and I Will Always Love You...... I didn't mess it up so that was good, will get back to financials tomorrow. I'm staying in so far....

THERE'S NOTHING LIKE HAVING A GOOD TIME WITH FRIENDS. GREAT SONGS TOO. I ALWAYS ENJOY SINGING MORE WHEN I'VE HAD A FEW. MY TONE IS ALWAYS BETTER SOMEHOW.:D:D

Apologies in advance to those who entered the market today. Why? So did I. (effective Mon morning opening). Recently I've had an almost uncanny ability to make the wrong move. (Got out May 7 only to miss a nice day on May 8 - one of several examples. Don't EVEN ask me about last October...shudder.)
40% I
30% S
30% C

Try, try again! :D

Good Luck all!!!

Good morning!! QE in Europe - Saw this area of the WSJ that just talks about QE. Comments this morning are very interesting. Seems like the European Central Bank (ECB) is starting to use its voice just like the Federal Reserve. So figure I best start listening since I am invested 50% in the I fund. Hope you find this of interest.

Best Wishes to everyone on their investments!!!!!! DBAnnie

So I made a very late decision to pull some off the table from the "I" fund. Yes I know... but I just feel I need to play it safe.
All stock funds look to me like they are bullish but the tightening at the top bothers me. I stayed with 20%C, 15%C but reduced the "I" fund from 50% down to 10%. Will jump back into I fund once it moves down a bit... IF it does. Just do not like the Greece situation. Yes I am trying to play it safe... what can I say.

Best wishes to everyone on their investments!!!!!!

Tom posted this article already on the forum.
Hope these guys are right cuz we're at/near all time highs and I'm gettin 'dizzy'. :1244:
