DreamboatAnnie's Account Talk

Usually the reply was "reply hazy try again" or "cannot predict now" I have no idea if the 20 sided thingy was weighted that way or not but that was my experience back in the day.

 You need to rub it and shake it the right way...then you'll get the answers you're looking for.

Ahhhhhhhh.....Kona.....I love it!! That's exactly what I need!!! I used to have one when I was a kid. No more wasting my time thinking things over that have no logical answer. I wonder if they sell them with a little bling and sparkly things! Ok..think crystal!! Ohhhhh....leeeet me look into my crystal ball!!!!

I looked online and could not find any blinged out Magic 8 balls. I think you are going to have to get crafty with a glue gun and some crystals and just create your own sparkly ball. Happy crafting!

No disrespect here but Jerry Lee Lewis seems to have answers about "magic 8 balls", "the shake it the right way thingy" and all. Oh well, great ol' tunes.

TR, I like the JLL song. Here's one. Really been loving Bruno Mars for quite some time. Gotta post this funky song..Mark Ronson featuring BrunoMars. Love the moves! Uptown Funk ...jump up and shake it!!

The LIKEs disappeared when Tom updated the site software last weekend. He warned us about it on this thread: http://www.tsptalk.com/mb/site-news-and-announcements/22433-possible-down-time-change-weekend-2.html

I think I am buying in this morning. Maybe 40-50% to I fund. Thought is to stay in it long term as it supposedly will out perform U.S. stocks this year. It's high now but BBs expanding so looks like it's going up more. may buy a little S and C fund...like maybe 10-15% each. Thinking about it. I think GDP will be low on Wednesday and Fed will continue with no interest increase in June. Market will maybe like the bad GDP so possibly stocks continue up a little longer in US before sell in May and go away thing.

Just wondering what caused the crazy up and down this morning. Buyers and then sellers took their turn to get out? But why? Fear??

Best wishes to everyone on your investments!!!

P.S. Tomorrow could be better buy day??? Not sure...still thinking to pull trigger.

Pulled trigger. ...for better or worse . Will see. Jumped into I fund 50%...hopefully more long term. Will see. Also put a little in C and S. Left some in G.

Good Morning!! This Air pollution article caught my attention this morning. It just came out, and it reports on ozone and particle pollution that affects health. This is not a political post. I'm just figuring your not going to make much money if your not kicking. So check it out if you have a chance.

This article Lists the Top 10 cities and a link to find results for your area by State or zip code (hit link at bottom of article).....I was very surprised!!!!

The 10 Cities With The Most Air Pollution In The U.S.

We moved to Phoenix about 2 years ago now. We actually live well north of the city but in the hot summer heat the valley collects ozone and smog. We're glad were north of the city and elevated but you can clearly see it. On the positive side, the weather here is FANTASTIC all year long. I love the patio living. Good news for most US cities.....At least were not Beijing.....yet.

Thanks for sharing.

Hello!! I've been Looking at charts each day but it's been tough trying to figure out what is going on with the market, and so just not much to say...kind of in a bewildered holding pattern.

Today looked good for S and C funds, a little up. S fund (DWCPF) was moving down and now up ..looks like it's consolidating--still have a little loss on that. C fund looks more promising as its moved up last couple days, and I'm up above my buy in from last Monday-so that's good.

But the I fund (EFA) ..ugghh.. is a little disappointing. I'm 50% in since last Monday and so that's a definite loss so far. But I want to stay in it long term. It's BBs consolidating too but Bollingers have just closed in enough so the upper range doesn't include my buy in price. So, it would need to break out and upward quite a bit. It still seems possible, will see....

Best wishes to everyone on your investments!!!!!!

Hummm... so the market falls. I've been working late tonight. Just now going to look at charts.... what to do????? For now, I am staying in but contemplating. If I recall correctly last year around this time there was a drop but then it picked up again and stayed fairly strong until mid-June. I will likely review and post more thoughts later tonight. Gotta really look at this.

Best wishes to everyone on your investments!!!!!

Gosh ...not liking what I see. Looks like SPX is the last one going down. MACD is crossed negative on all indexes, it looks like there could be more downward trend. But the Slow Stochastics are moving upward. Could be a dead cat bounce though. Will be watching prices in the morning to determine whether to get out.

On DWCPF (S Fund) price is riding the lower BB and the BBs are bowed out so it definitely looks like there easily could be more downward momentum before it goes back up. But Slow Sto (with fast 5,5) just got to about 20 a few days ago, and its now up to 32 or so. But RSI is below 50. Could be just another few days of down action before a pickup, but really not sure what is driving the market now.

ON SPX (C Fund) the BBs are starting to contract some. Big drop today, but SS is moving up..just above 60, but MACD just barely crossing its signal line down. Price is near 50 EMA. It could have a bounce tomorrow.

Then on EFA ( I Fund), it had a big drop too today (1.49%) which really bites me. But it is maybe around a 30 day EMA. MACD has crossed its signal line going down for a couple days now, but the Slow Stochastic is now around 37and looks to be just slightly crossing the signal line to go up. But again RSI is just going below 50. I keep looking back at beginning of December where the SS was moving down and did a little hiccup and then continued on down as RSI was crossing 50. I am thinking I fund is moving down more. Thinking it might be worth jumping off that ship until it finishes moving down. But then again I fund is soooooo irregular (not linear)... and it just always is jumping. I may get out of "I fund" tomorrow and put some in F fund instead.

Not sure about C and S yet. I guess I will still be looking at prices tomorrow. I really did want to stay in I fund but maybe the whole Greece thing is just getting too close for comfort and causing issues. Have not read financials today so gotta wait to do more reading.

Best Wishes to everyone on your investments!!!!!!

Hi Maricar19, I am determining that I do not know what the heck is happening. I just read MJR's post and it makes so much sense. Aging bull... I just keep hoping the shoe does not drop when I am in it 100%. Right now, I feel I should be out of this market. But I am going to stay in it until at least Friday.

If I can get out relatively unscathed, I may take a rest, regroup and try to execute with more discipline. I tell you one thing.... I am definitely NOT going to be in the market in September. By mid-June I want to be out and then only go in when indicators are fairly clear---but I am afraid this market is just so on edge that it will continue to have great fluctuations and very short upward trading days.

Best wishes to you and to everyone on their investments!!!!!

P.S. Commentators keep saying the market has more room for upward growth, but my gut says no. Oh well... if I am wrong it certainly would not be the first time.
