DreamboatAnnie's Account Talk

Yes, a short run... It is so hard to jump out when things look good. How short will now be the question. I find it very hard to exit. It just seems one should be in longer, but during down trend like this the counter rallies are short. Staying in too long means losing what might have been gained in a couple days and then waiting until following month to buy back in.

Then next month we must be out by May26?? Due to TSP transaction shutdown...still no idea what date in June they will open back up for IFTs....eeeeee

I saw a video from Ira Epstein earlier in the month. he talked about April being traditionally a high month for the past 50 years and historically you could get in on the 9th and out on the 29th for an almost guaranteed profit. but, then he said, this time around he wasn't so sure it's going to work out that way.
I'm with you both DB and Felix - i'm looking for a short term gain. I keep having this feeling of dread something is about to drop on me. am I being paranoid?

Hi MMK, I don't think your too paranoid. I feel the same way. So, while I am willing to risk money on short-term rally in this overall down trending market, I have my finger on the trigger. Watching Slow Sto and MACD default and both RSIs and daily candles. Best wishes to you!

PS This morning stocks were dropping and about 30 mins ago they started to turn back up. Still in the red but not as bad. Will see how it closes today. No trading tomorrow for Good Friday. So I will stay in through the weekend. Not looking too bad right now. It is earning season...keeping fingers crossed.

Good morning, Hope you had a beautiful and blessed Easter. Here are the charts as of a few minutes ago. Seems everything is low basing...

I should probably exit due to what looks like low basing close to bottom Bollinger band, but I will stay put because I just haven't been "spanked" enough by this market! :notrust:

PS ..Has anyone seen Apple's "pregnant man" emojis? That'll be the day! HA! The insanity of it all just kills me. Please don't tell me I am politically incorrect. I already know that and I don't care....obviously!
This is insulting to women and probably men too!

Probably not, but he might have prevented that "condition" if he had just crossed his legs (???) and said No! Lol..:D. Maybe he didn't know.. I am soooo confused...can't figure how it happened.. .

Hummm... That frothy cold beer sure looks good! :cheesy:

Great market action today, and would I be happy to be 100% S this morning? Yes. But, we appear to be in a period of give and take. The wind changes directions every day.

I can’t trust it.

I know I could move in just a little, but I recently whittled away a chunk of my account with that very method. I know this: getting into the market it’s just as challenging as deciding when to get out.

Market is just too volatile. One day its up and the next its down. I entered last Wednesday thinking we were going into a short bounce. Now must decide on just exiting for rest of month. I missed exiting F fund today (work) and it's a real dog and no idea why I thought it might bounce a bit. I want to throw in the towel and wait for market to get above 50MA and get less volatile. But I doubt that happens anytime soon.
