This seems a bit off... VIX dropped more than 9% but S Fund still dropped while S&P only up .05%???? ... hummm... :scratchchin: not making sense....seems to generally be diverging since around Aug 24...not keeping in line with its typical inverse nature.

ok. so see what effect that divergence had on Friday. 13 EMA still below 20 SMA, so entry at this point still risky. But VIX looks like it may move Down more for further upswing in market...maybe up to Midpoint on Bollinger Band. Right now looks like price is supported by 50dMA.....but sticking to my rules....ugghhh. no entry...

Lol...yes Danger! Thank God we have the weekend to rest!

So, this is how charts ended the day. Actually dropped a little more during the afternoon yesterday.
As you can see, upper resistance is at the early to mid-August reading range for both charts, while 50dma is support. Stochastic on C fund looks to be turning back down, so I think S fund is best for buy. Will consider entry next week... though C fund does seem to be getting closer to buy signal...if only using RSI-2...the 13EMA crossing back above 20 SMA would take longer, and I likely will not wait that long if other indicators are looking good! :smile: I am keeping eyes on support/resistance, RSI-2 and Of course MACD and Stochastics.

Well...watcha know... S fund looking good right now! Up .74% but so far, its forming a hammer but still hitting resistance right at the 20 SMA , mid-point of Bollinger band. Hummmm....entry into S fund today? ... but C fund doesn't look ready...

Thanks dba... I never got out and this morning fear was really creeping in.. Thought about selling... Have to remember the worst time to sell is in a panic.
 
Well...this is a high risk entry because 13 EMA is below 20 SMA. This is a very short play. I do think it can go down more. ... and at this moment futures are down over 500 on DOW mini, but S&P 500 mini down about 35 pts. .another 1% roughly. I am only playing this for a bounce.. if futures materialize into another down day tomorrow I may put in more chips. I do think market recovers some over next week or so, but plan to be out in October heading into election. Will see how this goes... could be a boneheaded move on my part. Gosh...don't do what I do....eeeeeee...Follow the DOODA system...Do Opposite Of DreamboatAnnie ! :smile:

But more seriously KB...it is true that you should not sell in panic, but DO set yourself a Stop...like just decide what percent or dollar level is the most you will let yourself lose, before you exit a trade. Some people say 5%. I am more like 2.5-3%. Also, must consider if drop is due some knee-jerk short term reaction. I know I can't commit ... I have no guts... My sticky pants get filled very quickly...ugghhh...:worried: and that gorilla glue just can't contain me..:sick: ...so for me to buy more tomorrow will really freak me out... but will see....
 
Haha.. No worries.. I don't blame anyone for my poor investment choices. My worst choice was to
be out of the marked throughout Obama and the first year of trump. Bottom line is I can't live on what the G Fund pays so I have no choice but to be in the market so that gives me a little peace during turbulent times. I'm 25% in so exposure is just enough to keep me sane..

Might be that Tom has it. Tom always posts the current month on his daily commentary, but I wonder if Tom would consider posting two to cover current month's plus next month's seasonality chart in his commentary. I always fund myself wanting to see next month's during current month just for IFT use planning. Sure would be great! :D:D:D

Just now looked at charts... thinking to stay in one more day....uugghhhh... still deciding...I should just exit and be happy with little gain. Yes, C Fund did much better...dang it! Both are just now taking a larger downturn. -.33S and -.46C... so that hits me by about .20 for tge day....hummm.. but with trend down, by day's end, it may kill off what little I got yesterday. eeeeeeee...:(
