I could use a little help. What defines the "1st Trading Week" of the month?

27,28,29,30,1
28,29,30,1,2
29,30,1,2,3
30,1,2,3,4

What is the general rule?

Thanks.

I would guess it should be the first full week of the month If the 1st is on a Friday then the first trading week of the month would begin on Monday the 4th. If the 1st of the month is a Tuesday the I would say the next Monday would start the "first trading week" of the month. Just my guess.

Some folks will only get so far here. Time + Desire + Ability = the level of the results you will get. I myself have the time & the desire, but my ability limits my imagination. I've gone about as far as I can get with what I have to work with.

There are particular trading days of the month which are statically higher than others. This data is provided in the trader's almanac, I use to have it, but lost everything in a computer rebuild.

To answer your question, look at how the weekly charts are measured. Each weekly candlestick is measure by the day it ends on and most end on Friday. If Friday is a holiday than the candlestick would close on the previous day the markets were open.

Based on the info you provided, the technical answer would be 27,28,29,30,1.
