DakotaKid's Account Talk

Well, that's what I get for front-running my system - I would have bought in at COB yesterday, avoiding more of yesterday's pain... oh well. Yesterday's pain pushed my system back to 100% S. Good luck everyone!

Sounds like you have a pretty good system there cowboy.

Been a while since my system has triggered, but yesterday's close finally did. As an FYI, anyone interested in watching my system would be advised to watch my tagline which I try to update daily. I usually only post to my thread when I make a move, which may be many months without a post.

40% G, 60% S

My system still has me in 100% S, but it's reactionary - not predictive. I'm quite happy with my returns for the year... Even though I hate selling on a down day (and today looks to be a big down day), the risk of no deal being made and falling off the cliff out-weighs the more likely scenario. What I think will happen (and what I think nearly everyone expects) is a deal will be made, and the cliff will be averted (or more likely kicked down the road). ..... But, I'm willing to miss those gains over the calamity that would ensue if a deal isn't made.

Happy Holidays Everyone! Keep Safe!!

I guess it's usually called a signature line?... I couldn't think of it that day for some reason I guess... I was talking about the bottom of my posts where it shows my current allocation and current return. I don't have much time anymore to read / make posts, so to compensate I try to update my signature line every day (when I'm out of town it usually falls behind by a few days). The signature line updates through all the posts you've made without making a new post. So if you bookmark my thread, you can check my signature line and see my current allocation even tho it will look like I haven't logged on in months (at times).

Hope that helps!

Happy New Year everyone!

Gotta love the new year. Dropped from #68 to #623 in one day! Got a long way to go to catch that S fund...
You think that's bad, check out SigJ -- went from being near the top to near the bottom (900 club) in one day. How misleading can day 1 be? ;)

As to the G Fund, it only paid 2.45% last year so it hasn't given us 3 - 4% in quite awhile I'd say. :(

I'm happy. I went from about 969 to 696. 6 became 9 and visa versa.:)
