Many years ago my wife and I joined our church choir just as we got a new choir director. We had less than 20 people in the choir when we joined. Richard really challenged us and at times would bring in some musician friends to enhance the moment. The choir started to grow. We were in the choir about 5 years before we moved and the choir had swelled to over 40 people. Our third Christmas with Richard he gave us a real challenge, we were going to sing Handel's “Hallelujah Chorus” and “For Unto Us A Child Is Born”. I can't tell you how nervous all of us were. When we finished the whole congregation gave us a standing ovation. What a feeling. So when I hear both of those songs they have a special place in my heart. I hope everyone has a MERRY CHRISTMAS.
