Actor Roger E. Mosley, best known for his role as the helicopter pilot Theodore “TC” Calvin on the 1980s hit show “Magnum, P.I.,” died Sunday 8/7, his daughter announced. He was 83.
Mosley died surrounded by family after being injured in a car crash last week that had left him paralyzed from the shoulders down and in critical condition, the actor’s daughter Ch-a Mosley said Saturday on Facebook.

Another person who passed earlier this month - Lamont Dozier. He wrote a bunch of #1 Motown hits. I heard an encore broadcast interview with him on The Beatles channel where he talked about how he came up with some of the lyrics. "Sugar pie honey bunch" - they came from a line his grandfather used to say flirting with women. He wrote "You can't hurry love", "Heatwave", "Baby Love" and many more.

I thought the article had a good line from him talking about all the hit songs. He said it was like playing the lottery and winning every time.
