Budnipper1's Account Talk

.
It is time to get rid of those "W" bumper stickers we've seen for the past 8 years.
That administration is done and the remnants of it are, quite frankly, passe'.

The election is over. Get past it.
Get used to the idea of a new president and the new administration!!

Here's your bumper sticker for the next 4 years.

A sampling of government awareness in action: :D

A social worker from a big city in Massachusetts recently transferred to the mountains of North Carolina and was on the first tour of her new territory when she came upon the tiniest cabin she had ever seen in her life.

Intrigued, she went up and knocked on the door.
'Anybody home?' she asked.

'Yep,' came a kid's voice through the door.

'Is your father there?' asked the social worker.

'Pa? Nope, he left before Ma came in,’ said the kid.

'Well, is your mother there?' persisted the social worker.

'Ma? Nope, she left just before I got here,' said the kid.

'But,' protested the social worker, ‘are you never together as a family?'

'Yeah, but not in here,' said the kid through the door.
'This is the danged Out-house!'

(Government social workers are so smart)

As a true tale, when I worked for AEP and had to shepard around some folks from AEP's Corp HQ located in NY at the time, they saw a ground hog run across the road and they all cried out look at the bear cub. We were down in the Clinch River Valley and some of those folks had never been out of NYC.

 LoL. I went to the only "rural" high school in Prince William County-the only high school in the county with an agriculture class and FFA chapter. When Stonewall Jackson (Manassas-city kids) track teams would come to compete on our track, they didn't like the scent of fresh bull manure that came wafting on the breezes now and then. We'd point to the silos visible from the track and teach the other team how to say SAAA-Lo! :D

 Yep. I miss that smell.
But it wasn't anything like the scent of the other type of bull "manure" coming out of DC right now. :D

Nothing like the smell of the cow pens at the state fair. :D

I think people are feeling pretty good about the last few days, couple that with a crazy day like friday the 13th and I think people buy tomorrow.

I must be feeling Lucky (Or maybe that was a dream I had)

Good luck tomorrow

I agree that people should be feeling better now, but I try not to "think" too much anymore. :suspicious:

Good Luck to you too! Old cliché goes, "If it wasn't for bad luck, I wouldn't have any luck at all"! :D

A lot of BULL being talked about on different websites. It's good to see but caution is still the key word for now. Maybe carefull should be thrown in there.

During periods where there is alot of manure being thrown around it is usually the time when the bear strikes. I'm not sure it is the same this time though. This market hasn't had a real rally in awhile and is due. This one may be good for another 10% or so. I'm looking to exit around 800 ish.

I bought a bird feeder. I hung it on my back porch and filled it with birdseed. What a beauty of a bird feeder it was, as I filled it with seed. Within a week I had hundreds of birds taking advantage of the continuous flow of free and easily accessible food.

But then the birds started building nests in the boards of the patio, above the table, and next to the barbecue. Then came the poop! It was everywhere, on the patio tile, the chairs, the table…everywhere!

Then some of the birds turned mean. They would dive bomb me and try to peck me even though I had fed them out of my own pocket. The other birds were boisterous and loud. They sat on the feeder and squawked and screamed at all hours of the day and night and demanded that I fill it when it got low on food.

After a while, I couldn’t even sit on my own back porch anymore. So I took down the bird feeder and in about three days the birds were gone. I cleaned up their mess and took down the many nests they had built all over the patio.

Soon, the back yard was like it used to be…quiet, serene and no one demanding their rights to a free meal.

Now let’s see…..
Our government gives out free food, subsidized housing, free medical care, and free education and allows anyone born here to be an automatic citizen.

Then the illegals came by the tens and hundreds of thousands, millions. Suddenly our taxes went up to pay for free services; apartments are housing 5 families; you have to wait 6 hours to be seen by an emergency room doctor; your child’s 2nd grade class is behind other schools because half the class doesn’t speak English.

Corn Flakes now come in a bilingual box; I have to ‘press one’ to hear my bank talk to me in English, and people waving flags other than ‘Old Glory’ are squawking and screaming in the streets, demanding more rights and free liberties. When asked why they breed like cockroaches, the reply is that it is a cultural thing.

Just my opinion but, maybe its time for the government to take down the bird feeder.

Yeah…I finally won at somethin’, even though I came in second-fiddle! I’d forgot all about the 2009 Dow contest until Tom messaged me. Thanks, Tom! I’m forfeiting my prize, since I’ve been so inactive on TSPTalk, but I still feel like a winner. My vote’s for Tom sending it to the lucky “nnuut” instead, in honor of his recent retirement. Congrats, nnuut! Just for the record, I had 95% of my TSP money in the G fund for most of last year, with 5% in C. Yeah, I could have made alot more money, but I’m happy with my decision because I slept good all year. On a positive note, I take a small monthly draw from my account every month to supplement my retirement, but my balance didn’t go down at all. Compounded interest RULES! Hope I can keep that up from now on so my daughter can inherit a nest-egg! I hope everybody here has another great year and you all become millionaires! I’m NOT, but I’m doing just fine anyways! Take care. -Doyle :D

A green font - for profits and luck I assume? :)

Always good to hear from you bud. Did you make your guess for the 2010 Dow? :D
