I may look at dipping my toes in today if we're lower or flat before the deadline. I hate buying in near the top but I'm not tryin to miss 3 rallies this year.

Looking back at yesterday's morning dip, I would have IFTd in if I had had the chance, but I was on a flight all morning and missed the deadline. I did end up selling TZA for a very minor profit. Not really worth the time invested in it, but I'm glad it wasn't a loss either. Now back to my hotel bed....
 
Been missing your thoughts on the market. I think you said you were heading to a happy place a little while back so I hope you are doing well. Take care.

Thanks for dropping a line. I've been deployed. In port for about a week, then back out again. Will look at sticking maybe half the account in to sit through the seasonally stronger month(s) while I'm out. Will probably feel it out the first few days of the week then decide near the end. Have I missed anything over the last month?

I remember you mentioning a deployment. So while you guys are out on the ships you have no internet access? I think I would die...lol. Stay safe bud!
 
A lot of surface ships have slow access, but even on those it's like 1 computer to every 10 people or worse. But the boats I deploy to don't even have that. I see some friends on Facebook complaining about how bad their deployment is -- I just shake my head, lol.

Gotcha! Any idea when you will be back home? I look forward to hearing your input on the market.
 
I'm scheduled to be home early December but it changes all the time. Originally I was supposed to come home Xmas day, if I could find a seat on a flight. Extensions are not out of the question. We dare not whisper that word out here though.
 
Thanks for the support all. I see we are looking at some lower futures this morning. I contemplate -- we are in the midst of qe3 and entering some of the strongest months historically. I see a buying opportunity for the long term here. I may take a position today depending on how we look near the deadline. Until then, it's nap time cuz my sleep schedule is all messed up!
 
50C 50G COB today. I see the vast majority of IFTs today are entering (or increasing) a position in C, S, or I. Looks like everyone has the same idea here. I hope we all get this one right :). For myself, I plan on leaving this allocation until December at least, but I may be persuaded to take my profits if C sky rockets by Friday.
 
To go along with my new long position, i bought some XIV (anti volatility) yesterday @15.99. Ended up selling today @16.51. Might have pulled the trigger too quick but I wanted to secure profits as soon as I could there as I'll be heading out again soon and already stickin it out in my TSP account. Added a few coins to the trading account though, and I'm happy about that.
 
Might look at picking up some TZA early in the week for a day or two to catch the consolidation swing down from overbought. I may also stick the rest of my TSP in on the first sign of weakness, but I'm still debating a few things for that.
 
Well I missed out on a few % due to a mistake. Guess I'm a little rusty. Tried buying TZA yesterday morning at the gap open around 14.85 with a limit order as it was ticking up. It never filled and TZA closed around 15.20, and it's 10 cents higher in after hours too. Beginners mistake but it was my first (attempted) trade in over a month. Sigh..
