bmneveu's Account Talk

NB is who i use. But i'm getting ready to move to wilmington ,nc and they have a couple of beer brew shops where you can buy all your stuff there. sooooo i will check them out also. happy brewing

Which recipes did you like from NB? I'm gonna get Caribou Slobber with the kit. Also thinking about getting their Hefe as well.

do dooo do doooo do dooo.... caribou slobber was my first and i loved it, i like the dark, brown porter types. i want to get slobber again.

Ended up finishing my Financial Accounting course with a grade of 100.57% somehow. I had a 94 going into the final, and then scored I think around 85 on the final exam. The professor must have put a nice curve on either the final or the whole course. No complaints here! 1 class away from finishing my Associate's. I'll either do it early summer, or early fall, depending on deployments. After that I'll do CLEPs to knock out my whole junior year and half of senior year.

Switching topics.. Anyone here homebrew their own beer? My wife got me a Mr. Beer kit over the holidays and I've been hooked! I'm using a slice of my tax return to upgrade to a 5 gallon setup. My 3rd batch is fermenting right now.

I have one of those beer kits sitting in my closet that I'm going to try out soon. I know it's a man thing but I am a curious gal. I'll let you know how it turns out. Hopefully it's not a science project gone wrong.

Congratulations! I will say, however, after grades are all finalized and can't be changed...I'd ask that "Accounting" instructor how on earth those numbers work out!

JTH mentioned the first 2 days of April have a strong positive bias historically. I like what I've gained from yesterday and today. If tomorrow is similar, I might have to take some off the table.

I'm okay with today being a consolidation day. Gotta digest all the gains we've taken in over the last few days. This might be just a speed bump. But even with the slow down, we are still heading in the right direction.

Managed to get an IFT in despite a busy morning. Just now getting around to updating my account thread. Pulled out to 100% G Fund for now. Might try to snipe another 1% or so before the historical summer swoon. But then again, we may not get a summer swoon if the Fed's still pumpin'!

Anyone else thinking about buying this dip? Might put some chips in today

There's still some time to eval today's price action before the deadline, I'm watching TZA for a double top breakout that may materialize.

There is no question that support will be broken - S funders are going to be on the run for a few more days. And that's fine with me because my dividends are buying at lower prices.

I IFT'd today to 100% S fund. Maybe I'll catch the knife on the handle. Maybe I'll get the blade. Fed is still pumpin' though, and I think people will realize that soon and send us back up.

That being said, I will probably take a good chunk off the table tomorrow if we get a strong bounce.

I've gone from around 500 to the top 50 (non-premium) on the Autotracker in the last 2 weeks. I might make it into the top 30 tonight with a whopping +4.5% YTD. I'm still fully exposed to the S Fund, so I could just as easily be back down to where I was a month ago by this time tomorrow.

I'm strongly considering taking half my money out of we are up big before the deadline.

Why I want half out: No need to get greedy here in these choppy waters.
Why I want half in: Fed's still pumpin'!

Well we were up big today, but most of the move came after the noon IFT deadline. I'm in for at least one more day.

I'm now beating all of the TSP funds YTD -- something I haven't done in a looong time. It's still early in the year, but I've managed to skip a few dips. I would probably be going on my 5th straight year in the G fund if I didn't stumble across this forum 3 years ago! Thank you to everyone that contributes!!
