Thanx for all the birthday wishes - I feel like I'm 50 until I mow my yard in 95 degree heat and realize that I'm in fact 65 years old. I still got the dream to head for Western North Carolina at some point. I've done a lot of research on the area and visited several times. My wife is almost ready to take early retirement and then we'll head north.

I did a little nibbling this morning: CLF, TKR, GFI.

Happy Birthday BT! I'm glad to be in the market with you on two days like yesterday and today! The 50 shares of CAT I purchased yesterday are already up over $72 total so that is pretty nice! I think I'm starting to get this stuff lol. Thanks again for the help you have given me over the last couple years with all of my questions.

Are we at the beginning of a rocket parabolic move up - Dow 13,000 is within smelling distance and SPX 1500 is within view - the market wants new leadership in Washington.

When we get a weekly close above 1395 on the SPX the bearish expectation will be totally false and a new rally phase will be initiated. We just took out 1375 with ease -this market seems to be exhibiting the characteristics of a 3rd wave up which can resemble a stampede. I'm still holding long at 20C and 80I - no reason to change.

Well the oceanic pulled one out for me today: -$53K, -$74K, -$11K, +$71K, +$121K for a birthday gain of +$54K. I'm ahead +$8K on the month so far - the next two trading days will set the tone. August could end up a barn burner.

Happy birthday BT. Are you pulling anything out of OASDI of waiting until next year or beyond?

The big surprise coming next week if the current momentum of the angle of ascent persists is that a new up leg may be forming catching most off guard. Remember, the market looks out many months into the future and I've ridden enough of these initial momentum strikes upward to know that sometimes they are REAL. It would be a classic move anticipating that the Europeans after three years are finally going to act. At one point Friday my oceanic was up +$134K - it won't take many more of those to lock in +$1M.
