One down month out of twelve would certainly be tolerable - I'm staying fully invested all year. Bring on the pain if necessary - I can endure.

Really? You think it's crying that gets these threads closed? It's an investment strategy board. With all due respect, it's pretty easy to spot a thread doomed to closure or potentially banish-able comment at first brush.
 
I guess you're right - we should all be satisfied to talk about simple moving averages and trend lines even if tendentious. Politics affects your money more than you realize - and poor leadership dooms us all to mediocrity. Look what may happen to dividend income with higher taxes - less money for future growth.
 
AAPL is now up $32 after hours trading - lock in tight for tomorrow with these better than anticipated earnings. I'm sensitive to any income tax increases from the current administration including the 3.8% hidden in the Obama health care plan. FWIW this year I paid $71,458 in taxes and don't appreciate how that money will be wasted on the welfare society.
 
I bet no one noticed that LII was up +$4.28 today - that's where I made some money. I'm not an AAPL chaser and I never go long for a short term play. Nonetheless I may pull a few dollars on a good Corning number tomorrow or I'll be the investor still in waiting. Transports were strong today and the bull channel remains intact.
 
I'll be happy to break even for the month of April. The first two weeks were tough sledding and put me in the hole by -$146K and as of yesterday was still down around -$117K. But I am on the comeback trail with more dividends waiting to go to work.
 
Wow Birch, with all this love you're passing around, I would think you could spare a little for the Anoited One. :toung:

So many extremists distort whats going on with our economy.
Saying things like "economy its going to get much worse", "2nd shoe about to fall",
"Sell your stocks, buy gold, grab yer guns and bibles and head for the hills".

But not you Birch!
You have bean a voice of reason on this site,
Correctly pointing out how the banks and housing industry are bouncing back,
Pointing out that many parts of the economy are booming at a 1990's clip.
Me and my administration have been working very hard to make this happen,
Despite the "obstructionists" in Congress who disagree with you and say things are getting worse.
I liked your recent post where you said that political actions are related to the economy,
Thanks for being a voice of reason to the "Doomsdayers".
And thanks for putting your $$ behind my policies.
So since you're betting on the results of my economic policies,
As opposed to the "Doom and Gloom" propoganda from FOX News, Rush, Beck,
I'll be looking forward to your vote for me this November!

If you get banned again on this site, call me and I'll issue an executive order to Mr Crowely,
Giving you a presidential pardon to get you out of jail or posting purgatory,
You just keep up your support of my policies for improving our economy.:)
