Birchtree's Account Talk

The guy in the movie of the same name. I know the FBI is monitoring me from their local office in Utah.

The risk is that as soon as you buy LNG it may drop two points - so if you can handle that volatility LNG is the better buy today. STR may eventually be a take over candidate in the energy sector - but then aren't they all.

I think LNG is going places with that new contract. I don't have a business mind but that is what my radar is telling me. Not concerned about volatility. LNG it is. Thanks.:)

Judy,

What do you mean you don't have a business mind - you are a landlord.
Ha Ha. That is only one sector of the business world and my knowledge is very basic at that. A lot of my decisions are based and some research and instinct, and sometimes just plain instinct. :D

Birch, this one's for you. This could be the most optimistic post on the economy you'll read this year...

The Future of America / The Big Picture

"... These days, the crowd is suffering from a malaise. They are fearful of losing their jobs, not interested in buying homes, deeply concerned about the future. Following a Great Recession, this is to be expected. So too is the rise of the End of Worlders and the Zombie Bears. These folks are best ignored, as they are money losers who can damage your outlook. ..."

You're welcome.

Dennis,

You own ANR shares don't you? Prices are looking pretty good. Where can I get the forward EPS data?

Wow the 52 week high on ANR was 59.20. That looks like it may very well be a good investment.

On another note, it looks like your move into some LNG is paying off for you jpcavin. :)

Thanks MaStA, but it was Birch who recommended LNG. ANR earnings don't look so good but it's one of those gambles that I like to take. :DI just like to hear the opinions of more seasoned investors so I don't get carried away by the dollar signs in my head.

Zombie Bears, I love it. They just wont die!

Could it be the I fund is getting ready to make my ears bleed? There may be a short squeeze like I haven't seen in years.

My IRS check has cleared - so in a couple of days I'll return to building my base. "Success is not final, failure is no fatal, it is the courage to continue that counts."

I am surprised more people haven't been loading up on the I Fund share prices. I have been buying since the share prices dropped $12. I still think its undervalued at the current price.

Looking forward to the day it surpasses its all time high! :)

It was a nowhere week for the oceanic account, here is what transpired: +$7K, +$70K, -$28K, -$28K, +$8K for a small gain of +$29K. I'm now only -$117K so far for the month - so I'm still looking to break even for the month of April. All I need is a big week next week - can it happen, of course.
