Birchtree's Account Talk

Thanx JP. I've learned that it is not possible to demonize Barack on this board - however he himself has freedom to demonize ....whomever with impunity. So how many dollars will I make today on my AOL stock? This could be the last day of the consolidation with a nice kangaroo tail - time will tell. I'm holding strong through this earnings season.

How about 41%? You called it! Shazam! :)

I've been sitting on AOL for several years nibbling as time went on - just happened to be in the right place at the right time. That's how I make money - slow and easy. I seldom make a purchase to make money today - I own a portfolio that stinks because there is so much superlative manure spread around and sooner or later I get a Lincoln Rose that pops up.

I hope you sell and make a mint. Can't believe AOL still exists. It's like the 8-track player for the internet. (Hope I didn't offend anyone... hahahaha!)

Bull markets have a tendency to make everyone look smart and that does include amoeba. Not to be overly tendentious but 2012 is likely a year of reflation, similar to 2003 and 2009. Such an environment is highly conducive toward risk assets and can result (wait for it) in a moonshot higher for stocks. So bring on the short term pain for a bigger healthy gain. You have to know that the European indexes are on the verge of following in the SPX's footsteps to achieve new cyclical bull highs. I can't wait.

OMG. He really is back! Hahahaha! :toung:

Haha...was was feeling melancholic about the good old days and I installed an old version of AOL a a month ago. Same chat rooms and same offensive people only on higher doses of hormones. I got rid of it a few days later.

This little sell off or consolidation is just fine with me - bring'er on down. We need some rain to help the flowers grow.

Glad we can always count on you Birch for positive comments ..... I'm down about 5% since last Wed., will today be the bottom ??

I'm raising some cash to pay my IRS tax bill - after that I'm back in the market adding to my oceanic base. I don't think this consolidation will go beyond 5%.

From now until November every time dark and handsome Barry shows his ignominious self he's going on mute. That's the best I can do for my sanity.

It would appear that coal stocks have bottomed and present great values. Coal exports doubled last year, and companies are expanding port facilities and rail lines to send even more abroad this year.

Tell me Birch, are we forming the right side of the V? (tossing you a slow & easy one, so you can knock it out of the park) :toung:

I'll answer for him. We are on the upside of the biggest bull run ever. All I can smell is fresh manure and all I can see are endless dividends.

jkenjohson,

I own multiple coal company stocks: ANR, ACI, JAG, BTU, CNX, PCX, and several rails. I'm currently adding to my JAG position and my GWR position.

JR,

We could be starting a real big V from the way today looks - earnings from Google may be the catalyst to send the bullish message tomorrow.

I haven't heard much about it lately, but coal can be shipped as coal slurry via piplines. I also own James River Coal and that is what I'm buying rather than so much JAG.
