Birchtree's Account Talk

For those of you that have never experienced the dread and excitement of a stampeding bull market keep in mind that the center point of 3 will have the most amount of participation by both breadth and volume related charts. Many don't understand what a 3rd wave can do to ones technical work. Watch the SPX breadth MCO that Coolhand provides - any new high will support the idea that this continuing advance that started in March 2009 will indeed move the price pattern to new all time highs. Many individual stocks are already exceeding their previous highs from October 2007. Be right and sit tight.

I will be very happy with a 8% gain this year. It will be nice if I can get up to 5% this month. Who needs more than that?

I plan to close out the year with at least a 30% gain in my TSP - I'm greedy in a bull market. Remember two weeks ago when the SPX ran up 70 points from 1268 to 1339 - well it's about to happen again taking us to 1375. If the market provides us with a P/E of 15 that would get us to 1675 in the next six months. I'm so ready and my wife is too.

Uh? How's that? I don't want to say I doubt you but your autotracker has you at 6.3% right now. Is it current/up to date?

As always past performance may not be indicative of future performance. There is six months left to increase my gains and I'm not about to cut and run over stupid politics. Negative headlines tend to produce the strongest advances in a bull market. I'll be holding the thin blue line.

Not inconceivable. Look at last year's monthly returns: S fund added 24%+ from Sep.~Dec. Add that to BT's current return, and you've got... 30%. Of course, I/C were only up 17% ;)

Oh the feeling I get when I participate fully in multiple 3 digit Dow updays nearly in a row - I'll definitely take another banger tomorrow. The lesson of this bull market is you have to stay fully invested. The rich get richer because they continue to do things that make them rich like a buy and hold strategy. If both averages (DJTA & DJIA) close above their previous highs, then Dow Theory will issue a confirmation that the major trend remains up. By the forward P/E measure, stocks are the cheapest now since the end of 1985 and that was a good year. There are so many wall flowers to buy.

Our friend Boehner can turn this market up in a blink of a second. Get ready for the SPX to perhaps smash through 1350 and beyond. Well I'll hold out for real hope and change we can count on.

Here is what happened with the oceanic account this week - not very exciting but I did get most of my devaluation back from last week: -$53K, +$80K, -$1K, +$53K, -$8k for a grand total gain of +$71K. Now if I could just catch an announcement of a stock split I'd be a happy camper. Next week could very well be bodacious fun in the markets.

I just finished listening to Obummer cry like a little girl - Boehner walking away is wonderful. Obummer is not to be trusted. They don't need to raise taxes.

Well the whining Liberals are at it again, tricks, Lies and Skull Duggery. It's giving me a flashback to ObamaCare, they are working this the same way, under the table Chicago Politics but they will pay for this one and so will we if they have their elitist way. SCUMBAGS!
Pardon my directness but the truth always makes me feel better.:)

As does the wine. :D

Much appreciated. I was going to say something about the name calling but it looks like BT started it. Since it's his thread I'll let him deal with the mess, but somehow I don't think he'll mind. The two of you have pretty thick skin.
