Birchtree's Account Talk

thanks man, glad you're here.

i was gonna quote but they must be (those posts are) gone now.

thanks, again.

I don't know if we are going to get a so called summer rally or not, but if we do I'll be there for the ride. Right now we are getting ready to get through the 20 EMA at 1332.93. Go Ferdinand.

Smucker has increased its' coffee prices three times already this year. I'm going to have to sleep in my sticky pants all summer and wake up with Cherry Dr. Pepper. They make a Black Cherry Vanilla which I can't find and I'm sure it will make my heart flutter - but I can use the stimulation. I won't drink the diet stuff. C'mon Ferdinand let's start a stampede.

I think red Bulls would suit you more.:D

If the market has bottomed with a 5% consolidation then my oceanic gave up $310K through Tuesday - not bad considering. Here's what happened: -$75K, -$4K, +$65K, $39K, +$34K for a gain of +$59K this week. So I'm on the come back trail again. I'd like to pull $100K next week in a four day trading week. I'll have to make gains of $189K before I return to wall flower buying power - I can hardly wait because there are so many value plays out there just waiting for me to buy them. If the consolidation is complete it won't take long for SPX 1370 to surface again. I want my asset bubble - QE3 is not going to be mentioned but it will be there providing more liquidity and the dollar will retest its' lows so I'll hold my 80% I position in TSP.

I've recently gotten four offers from my credit cards that have been paid off - they are offering me 0% checks for 12 months. I'm considering these as a way to build cash for stock buying incase we just trend sideways for the summer. Cash on margin is treated as double the amount - am I that opportunistic, you bet. I'm greedy, greedy, greedy in a bull marklet. If June rockets higher then I'll pass on the offers - I just want to buy more stock income without selling assets while the sun shines. Tax diversification is part of my strategy.

My friends at the Limited (LTD) just announced a special dividend of $1.00 - that's a nice way to start the day. I should make serious money today.

There are times on this board when I feel a tinge of embarrassment because I'm making so much money in my TSP account and some are still stuck with their rudder in the sand. Snort.

Shoot I've got 50% of my paycheck allocated to my TSP account. I'm pumping money in as fast as I can and it's still not enough!

You're not going to exceed the yearly cap on TSP's IRA contributions right? I think it's $16,500 for 2011.

RealMoneyIssues,

That's my gain from January - mid May. That does look a bit confusing now that you mention it..

Vegasmith,

I doubt I'll hit the cap due to my contributions coming from a military paycheck :embarrest:. I don't see myself keeping it at 50% for long though. I bumped it from 10% to 15% 2 months ago and then to 50% last month. I'm gonna keep it there as long as I can sustain just to get a strong base for my account and then bring it back down to 15% once I approach the cap (or start to go broke).
