Birchtree's Account Talk

I turned my back on any type of religion while in Vietnam in 1969. So purgatory doesn't bother me in the least. And the closer to Memorial Day I get the less politically correct I become. You reach a point where it just spills out. I'll try and remain polite but I may beg your indulgence.

My good news for the day is that flower power lives. My holding in FLO (Flowers) has announced a dividend increase and also a 3/2 stock split. I'm expecting several more stock split announcements as the year progresses along with select buyouts - the joys of a bull market.

Partisan politics has never been civil. I consider it a fool's game because nobody convinces anyone of anything - they just need to spout off and they only care about their own soapbox. The only time people get a response is when its inflamatory. I am getting old enough to not waste my time playing those games.

I'm here to make money, and hopefully I do some day ;-) Birch, more power to you. I hope you get the rallies and reach your goals ahead of time, and I hope to jump on that bandwagon too.

Would you believe I even got deleted on the purgatory thread - man I'm bad. I must remind them of Leroy Brown. Milk doesn't have anything up on me.

I'm already getting Memorial Day emotional. So before some clown comes back at me with a racist agenda let me make a comment. I'd like to take a moment to defend the black American male of yesteryear. Even though many were in revolt, when the draft board called they went to war to defend their America and they paid an inordinate price. Vietnam was fought on the backs of poor whites and even poorer blacks. It was the elite, white, middle class male that ran off to Canada deserting his country. There is a reason I hate yellow back Jimmy Carter. He gave amnesty to those cowards while 55,000 gave their young lives to an America that was controlled by another Democrat, LBJ. It burdens my heart to think about yesteryear - but we all bled the same color and we all had character. So I can't forget - we'll all be dead soon enough. The leson learned should be to never let a liberal run a war - they just don't know how. Look at Obama today as an example.

Birch, I know Memorial Day is a painful time for you. FWIW, Sec Ag sent a departmental message today giving particular remembrance to Nam vets who he thinks have not been recognized well enough for their sacrifices, to this day. I don't know if he is one of you, but even if he isn't, he hasn't forgotten. thought I'd pass that along.

Thanks for your service. :)

I think I was in 2nd grade when my buddy and I used to walk around the playground on recess singing this song.

I've told you how I feel about 'Namers, but again, you're a hero in my eyes,
one of the old-schoolers- you earned it.
Take care of yourself. Like a trip to The Cracker Barrel. ;)
