Birchtree's Account Talk

This is my response to cutting spending. Walter Williams points out the obvious when he reminds us that 70% of black children are now born into single parent homes. This abysmal statistic demonstrates that a consenting adult morality has societal and economic consequences for children and other citizens. For decades licentious liberals have argued that morality is a personal decision and therefore not to be subjected to a societal standard and review. Consenting adults is the only moral standard. Don't try to force your morality on us has been trumpted by liberals for years. Where is the shame. The flip side of this is, don't force the exponentially destructive consequences of your morality on society. Walter Williams makes an elegant argument that society reaps what individuals sow. Look at the minority at risk subprime mess with their foreclosures. I have to ask myself why there is no attempt by black leadership to emphasize individual responsibility to improve the success of black families. The answer is that there is financial incentives in illegitimacy. Democrats have doomed us all to failure. I don't frequent the beltway site so I posted on my thread.

Here, Here... +1 to you my friend :D

Obama is going to try and pull a Jimmy Carter and will suffer the same fate. Geesus, social engineering stinks.

Or is it, Obama is trying to pull a Bill Clinton but may have to settle for a Jimmy Carter?

Douche nozzle is running from the real problems. The one that needs to make the individual sacrifice is the young 15 year old illegitimate black female - she wants to get pregnant like her mother did to receive a welfare check. Don't pay her to get pregnant - pay her to get an education and a job. Get married and then have children. No Democrat will address this social engineering issue. It's a damn good thing prisoners can't yet vote.

I'm out to trim my hedges today - JTH you should do the same. The best I can hope for today is that the I fund gives up less than the S fund. No pain - no gain.

Well my friend I agree, it is a good day to focus on other important parts of our lives. Last night the family sat down at the dinner table together and actually ate dinner like the old days. This weekend we'll so some of God's work, planting a garden. :)

And may it be blessed with bounties to share with friends and less fortunate!

No ACOR but I am pulling radishes from my garden. Today was a pleasant surprise - hope the I fund fair value didn't short my gain.

The gains will most likely roll in tomorrow. I'm still waiting on a price of $21.50 to move some 20% into the C fund. Then i'll move another 20% at a later date. My goal is to get back to 40C/20S/40I. I still believe April has the potential to be explosive to the upside.

A break below 15.00 will put the VIX back to a level not seen since July 2007. Caution from a contrarian perspective may eventually be warranted. Something I'm aware of - getting out will be very difficult to accomplish.

Not much of a bump today either. :( I may dump some on Monday. Will wait and see what the market brings. Just want to get back to hoarding shares and forget the tracker business. :D
