Birchtree's Account Talk

My bit of good news today is the my FLO (Flowers) is buying out my TSTY (Tasty Baking) but I don't believe I'll end up with a profit unless they exchange shares. Waiting on the details.

I heard Tatsy might be going out of business. The tastykakes really went downhill when they moved to their new plant at the Philadelphia Navy Yard.

TSTY has had their problems but I hate to give up a 6.3% dividend yield. If FLO takes it out at $4 I'll still be in the hole around $300 - so I hope they exchange shares and give me more Flowers shares - that would be fine.

IRS funding cut days before report shows $330 billion in uncollected taxes. Honestly, it's enough to make a grown man cry.

Yeah. Half mine.

"A chance to buy stocks when their earnings growth prospects exceed their price to earnings ratio. So only people who can overcome their emotional resistance to stocks will benefit from equities' rise."

Too many trying to be S fund dip buyers - the trap is being set to clean some clocks because the bottom is not in yet and could possibly take longer than anticipated.

Bummer I just went in all S.:D

birchtree i moved 50C and 50S before deadline today and am going to wait for the rise. maybe a little pain but if you can do it i can do it. it looks promising with the resistance at the end of the day at the 1313-1314 mark. if i remember this is what we are looking for to maybe signal a bottom and and a move up.

The bleeding from the last five trading days has left my oceanic account $183K light - now I can handle a little more pain if necessary because I'm brave. It will be awhile before I can get more flower power buying but it's not that far off. I believe the rest of April will prove very profitable. The goal is to stay with the trend and wait for pricing to come to me.

When youre getting in deep the big mistake is to pull out before the market heads back up. Especially when you have ONE IFT left in your arsenal.

Now - tell me my Goobermint luvs me. :notrust:

This is my response to cutting spending. Walter Williams points out the obvious when he reminds us that 70% of black children are now born into single parent homes. This abysmal statistic demonstrates that a consenting adult morality has societal and economic consequences for children and other citizens. For decades licentious liberals have argued that morality is a personal decision and therefore not to be subjected to a societal standard and review. Consenting adults is the only moral standard. Don't try to force your morality on us has been trumpted by liberals for years. Where is the shame. The flip side of this is, don't force the exponentially destructive consequences of your morality on society. Walter Williams makes an elegant argument that society reaps what individuals sow. Look at the minority at risk subprime mess with their foreclosures. I have to ask myself why there is no attempt by black leadership to emphasize individual responsibility to improve the success of black families. The answer is that there is financial incentives in illegitimacy. Democrats have doomed us all to failure. I don't frequent the beltway site so I posted on my thread.
