Birchtree's Account Talk

Here I am in the G-Fund waiting for my friend the mighty Birchtree to catch up with me. Perhaps my slingshot slung me a bit too far? "Yawn" wake me up before you go go, don't leave me hanging like a yo yo...

market has all the reasons to go higher (fundamental and technical analysis), it'll break 1340 soon

I'm a little late on the trigger today but better late than never. Bought: AIN, EXP, EAT, GMT, FDP, DY, BK, FIS. My oceanic long market value went over $4M today and I'm building more flower buying power for Monday. I suspect I'll have another better than $100K week gain. My tugboat (TSP) position will not change until I get $21.50 in the I fund, then I'll shift 20% back to the C fund. This market is making me somewhat anxious - get me in at any price. Just think how those sitting at the station feel - missing this train. I undoubtedly will be making more wall flower buys this afternoon.

How convenient of you to show up after the Noon deadline. ;) Don't worry, I stayed put! You should be proud of me. I made top 10 for the month. As if I had anything to do with it. Thanks!

Adding to my wall flower bouquet: RES, RDC, MTW, TRW, JRCC, EP, ATO. Monday should provide another opportunity to plump up that bouquet. If I could just get an $88K day.

It would be a good day for a dining reward at your favorite digs, The Cracker Barrel !
congrats

I did miss my $100K week, again, here is what happened with the oceanic: -$15K, +$39K, +$40K, +$7K, +$18K for a grand total of +$89K. This does put me closer to my goal of $2M off the March 9 '09 lows. And I do have buying power for Monday - gotta keep the buying hot. The SPX is 96% above the 3/9/2009 closing low, which puts it 15.3% below the nominal all-time high of October 2007 at 1565.15.

At week #53 off the March 9th, '09 lows I made my first $1M and now at week #108 I'm at $1898K - that's 55 weeks from week #53. My plan was to make $2M in 40 weeks. I'll have the $2M by week #110. I should be able to get the $3M by week #150 - that's another 40 week plan. I'll get there if we don't experience any more 15% corrections along the way.

It takes money to make money. Sounds like your plan is working for you. Good luck.

Hey all - hope everyone's doing great!!

Just a quick update. I got a beautiful apartment this morning that overlooks a lake surrounded by woods. There are some pretty gardens right outside the windows and it's a quiet - safe place.

So I'm thrilled with everything. My health is great and with all the new excitement I'm using the energy to get in shape.

I hadn't checked TSP in ages and had to give an accurate account of all my assets a few days prior. Well I'd totally forgotten that my contributions over at least the past 6 months have been going to like 70% S and 30% C. :embarrest::cool:

Gosh - I never look at my stuff (really - truly) because investment like that are so long term and once I decided to go off the AT - I really never give it a thought.

Well I'm up 19% - or just a tag over --- so was thrilled.

I'll try to give a little update in a few months. Give us time to settle in and see if things keep going as good as all appears.

Love ya all --

Steady

Good to hear from you Steady...

Anyway, Birch...

A 20% C, 80% I balance. Yowser. Waiting like the Amoeba for the impending crash of the 'S Fund':p. Right around the corner. Maybe Monday. Tuesday at the latest. There is rioting in Syria!!!

I'm of a split opinion. Holding the old market boom standby of 40% C, 30% S, 30% I. If the 'I Fund' corrects to the upside (as we both expect) than we both do great. If the 'S Fund' continues with its momentum than I might catch you - and that would be a very good thing for my wounded psyche:D. And, I would catch my little silent pigeon (BrandesValue). How embarrassing to be looking up at a newbie I recruited only so I could stay in the top quintile last year - he’s pushing me down this year!!! Now there is a window dressing strategy:toung:. I’m trying to get him involved in the discussion boards.

I guess the best is to hope for prosperity for all.

WOw!, I don't have near that much in my Tsp.

I do have a Guatemalan wife with big T*ts and a very nice tight A*S though. I guess if I had to choose, .....I'd choose the A*S....

F the money! (I mean it's not ours really anyway, right? it belongs to your uncle and he will spend as he sees fit! hehehe)

Have never used DRIPS. I've always left my stocks in street name making for less paperwork. But stock certificates can be real pretty.

Stand back, permabull approaching - still buying those wall flowers: HAL, STI, AGCO, PCX, GGC, TRN, IVZ, RT, GBX, ONB, BBG. Another good day to own stocks.
