Birchtree's Account Talk

63! and here I thought you were an old fart!

For you younger folks - 63 ain't so bad. It is becoming more apparent that stocks went down in May and June for no reason. Just nonsense.

"The fact that we're over 50 on the RSI's, and add in the fact that MACD's are showing a strong impulsion higher, is really good action from a bullish perspective. If you hasd RSI's making the move, but the MACD's were not confirming, it wouldn't be very positive for the bigger picture."

Hey Birch :)

Sorry about last night. I just never expected your wife would ask me to call her 'Koala Bear' -- and especially to express this so genuinely and with such a sincere smile.

Anyway -- it was awkwark man :embarrest::sick: cause I had to wonder how you would respond; let alone everyone else. I mean, I hope you can see how that could potientially make me look like an idiot.

So -- anyway -- I'll call her that if she's really serious; but there is no way in hell I'm wearing a kangaroo outfit -- gosh --- I wouldn't do that no matter who asked me.

Well I hope it's been great so far. We'll see ya tonight by 7; Sarah is on a break from S. Korea -- so she'll be with us -- along with Carrie.

Carrie's favorite memory was watching you dance to Micheal Jackson's 'The Way You Make me Move'. According to her -- you had a cigar in one hand and a glass of Scoth in the other -- cranked it way up and went kind of wild.

Well Happy Birthday Birch -- you're the best.

My wife asked me yesterday what I wanted for my birthday. Well, what I want is a lake place but what I need are several packages of new underwear - so I suspect new Jockeys are in my future. If the small caps don't ramp up this afternoon, I may get past JTH on the tracker. If my wife asks me if I'd like to eat out tonight I can tell her I have Captain D's coupons - I don't have to shave to go there.

At this moment I'm not liking the odds. If you don't see me on the fourm for a few weeks it will be because I'll need to get a second job to pay for your coffee cup...

You go all out on your birthday, eh Birch?
sounds like a video event for sure! :cheesy::laugh:

Today was a day of rotation for the small caps - I gave back something like 30 coins but I'm still up 20 coins for the week so far. Perhaps tomorrow we'll be back in bull rally mode. The NYSE cumulative breadth is close to making a new all-time high. I'm close to pulling the trigger on raising some cash - today would have been an excellent opportunity to do some buying during the rotation. There will be another time. Getting through August and September might be a real trip.

My heat seeker has been turned on and is directed towards tracker #79 with a 3.14% gain - now if he just sits still I'll have a chance to catch him. Today should get me back into the positive zone. Being right or wrong at today's critical juncture will make or break the rest of the year.

Really? If you catch me this year, I'll pay for your TSP coffee mug, consider that a bet...

Whew, that was close :D

We could be due for a few more days of small cap weakness - that would hurt my oceanic account. The tugboat would do just fine as many members would be forced to genuflect with the S fund weakness as they start to roll backwards. That helps the few C fund lovers. Many lily padders are going to be vulnerable to the Birchtree heat seeker.

At this moment it appears to be another "do nothing" day and that's a good thing as we may start building the foundation for a high base. The treeman should be happy, I do suspect his C-Fund alloaction will outperform my S-fund, but I'll kindly remind him when the Big caps are tired, folks will flee to the small caps.

He's been touting the C for awhile now JT, but the ytd S numbers don't lie! :D

you must mean the week-to-date numbers; S-fund has been all over the place this month and last.

IOW, the ytd S numbers are liars. Anything can happen tomorrow, friday, next week, or in the next 20 minutes (it's 3:40 pm).

One more down day and the S funders will shake like leaves off an Aspen. I'm taking my own hits in the small cap arena but it was expected - keeping those dividends working. 58 of the top 100 are lily padders or F funders - that's going to be a lot of collateral damage in the future as the bulls move up the ranks.
