Birchtree's Account Talk

Sure, I think I got it. This afternoon around 1600 hours I took a nap with my investment adviser, Mindylou. She slept between my legs and we were on cruise control for about an hour and one half. Now to me that is euphoria - a pause to refresh just as the market does. Now if I can reach my next milestone of $2M I'll be down right giddy. Still no fear here - riding the bull scenario al the way.

Mindylou, have you been watching all those good folks moving back to the S fund on the day's highs. They must be thinking the S fund will reach for the previous high price of $19.54. But we don't think that way do we?

Birch,

You are sounding more like SugarAndSpice every day...

Must be the euphoria. Mindylou has been very cuddly the past year.

Muggle has gotten kinda wacky. She is bouncing around and biting me. She thinks its fun. Me, not so much - especially at 0500. I think she'll come around soon enough and we will spend the rest of the year on a mound of gold doubloons - streaming them through our fingers and paws. But, to do that we gotta get off the schnide. She just ain't got no consistency:nuts:

Steady,

I cleared $244 today so you are doing better than me. I was fine until LPX took $4K off my table. If tomorrow could be like August 1982 we'd have another 400 point banger to lead the way up. Now that would be another day to remember - essentially back to back nice moves. If memory serves me correctly we saw something like that in July 2002 before the triple bottom was complete in March '03.

The VIX is getting bombed out to 25.46 down 2.86 - that could be predicting a 300+ Dow close. If that happens we might take out SPX of 1180 - now wouldn't that wake up the crowd.

:D:D

It gave me enough for a bagel meal tomorrow morning :)

Every little bit counts.

Birch, my friend -- a bagel meal is $5 dollars

Steady,

I cleared $244 today so you are doing better than me.

I got a good laugh out of this one.

$245 is 49 times better than my bagel meal -- but it was good and I most certainly enjoyed it this morning.

Can anybody explain to me what the difference between this market and euphoria is?

This market is based on the realities of a very painful Recession and a Global Economic Crisis that had longed appeared to have no end.

For the last few months -- many companies are making 'record highs' - BANKS are doing outstanding - Auto companies that were going under are now making profits and hiring back thousands and getting dealerships up and running.

Jobs are moving to the POSITIVE -- oh yeah.

Mergers and Acquistions have been HUGE this year.

The ONE Correction - we really needed finally ran its course and the Markets showed their solid and ongoing Upward Trend.

11,000 is still the MARK -- and has been all along. When we move up from there 'We will fly'.

Euphoria is a fleeting feeling of exhilaration -- that crashes and disappears.

I noticed that JTH has clucked out of the I fund back to the lily pad COB. Just when I was starting to admire the courage of running into the storm. Anyway if there is anyone standing on the tracks - you better move or start running in front of the train. The VIX is getting ready to break below the 25 level and that could mean some serious points going forward. Wouldn't it be bullish to have a white swan swoop in and really push this market higher.

Yes, Mindylou is my cat (gato). She is also my investment adviser. She is actually the wife's love and I'm just the slave - but as long as she continues to help me make money I'll do what ever she desires.

I'm going against you B, I'm backing out of C and going 100 S cob today. I know, I know.... but S has been awesome to me this year. I missed the Jan/Feb drop and been 100 S until last week, (90 C 10 S). The gains just keep coming and can't be ignored.

Birch, all I've ever seen this year is Black Swans.
Black swans here, there - everywhere...
Flappity, flappoty, flap...

I've been so scared this year it ain't even funny.
Even Amoeba is doing better than me - and, taking more risk.
I've been blaming the Muggle, but she is a great investment picker.
