Birchtree's Account Talk

Re: Birchtree's account talk

I am born again.

Thrilled to hear that my friend, cause when it's all said and done - no matter what we accomplished or achieved nothing is more important than that - and in comparrison nothing else really matters.

Re: Birchtree's account talk

Perhaps I should clarify my position on being born again. I'm not born again into any group affiliated with any Christianity organizations - I'm a born again Republican. I've been lifted out of the quagmire known as the Donkey Party - no more liberal darkness for me. I will never vote for a Democrat ever again - yellow back Jimmy set me straight on that agenda. It usually takes an extreme circumstance to force someone to change their family political stance and I had my life turning experience and am much better off as a result of that trauma - the light shines brightly in my current conservative objectives. I'm happy with how Geroge Bush has handled himself and what he has done for the country and my family. John McCain is his own man and will govern according to what he believes and I will support him. Hooah!

Re: Birchtree's account talk

Once upon a time..Hillary was walking down the street and came across a little girl with a basket full of kittens..Hillary exclaimed, oh how cute, what are they?..The little girl said politely and quietly, they are Democrats..Then Hillary really beamed and said they are so darling and lovable...

Later the following week Hillary and Bill were both walking down the street and came across the same little girl and her kittens again, this time Hillary invited Bill to look at the kittens...Bill mused that they were cute and asked what they were...The little girl proudly announced that they were Republicans...Hillary flabbergasted, said in a cross and witch like voice, YOU TOLD ME LAST WEEK THEY WERE DEMOCRATS...The little girl unmoved by the attack said calmly, Last week there eyes were still closed..

Amen Birch - it's the wishy washy ones that kind of get to me.

Know where you stand - and why you stand there - THEN YOUR VOTE REALLY COUNTS FOR SOMETHING

I thought about you the other evening when I was walking around the yard. Had a few 4 inch Maples planted several years prior and they've grown quite a bit. Anyway - remembered you'd said something about putting in some Maples recently. As my trees get bigger it makes my place look more and more beautiful. Another 10 years will be the peak of beauty; at which time Housing will probably be fantastic - and finally lived at the same place long enough to really make a profit.

Re: Birchtree's account talk

Just wanted to let you all know that Viggio is on Spike TV tonight at 2100 hours.

Re: Birchtree's account talk

We are about as tight as one can get on the ratio-adjusted advance/decline line - this should provide an interesting week as the battle reaches its climax.
A/D line: 167,584
10% Trend (19 day EMA): 167,844
5% Trend (39 day EMA): 167,455
1% Trend (200 day EMA): 167,600
Talk about compressed and coiled ready to strike - be sure you are right and then go ahead. The earlier you can get on board with a trend, the more money you can make.

I wish it was Eastern Promises tonight with Viggio but no such luck - I'll rent it on DVD.

Re: Birchtree's account talk

I can't seem to get National Treasure II for the love of money..Every damn DVD rental place is totally out of them since last Tuesday....Come on people..you all are suppose to be at the lake somewhere, not home watching movies:mad:

Re: Birchtree's account talk

At least you don't have to surf while the ol' lady is watching Moonstruck; fresh out of the DVD wrapper.

Re: Birchtree's account talk

What is our girl Hillary up to now claiming sexism in the Donkey Party. Has her campaign suffered because of sexism. This fact reveals a hitherto unknown, ugly truth about the Donkey Party. The alleged bastion of modern liberalism, toleration and diversity id full of (to use Mrs. Clinton's own phrase) "people who are nothing but misogynists." Large numbers of Democratic voters are sexists. Who knew?

It is sissy. It is blame-gaming, whining. a way of not taking responsibility, of not seeing your flaws and addressing them. You want to say - Girl, butch up, you are playing in the big leadues, they get bruised in the big leagues, they like to hit you low. The charge of sexism is ultimately undermining of the position of women. Or rather it would be if its source were not someone broadly understood by friend and foe alike to be willing to say anything to gain advantage.

Re: Birchtree's account talk

According to mutual fund flow data from Trim Tabs Investment Research, there have been large inflows into bond funds and large outflows from equity funds so far in 2008. That is opposite of what occurred at the bull market highs in 2000. In the first five months of 2000, $145 billion flowed into US equity funds, while bond funds lost $40 billion. So far this year, investors have pulled $38 billion out of US equity funds, which on an annual run rate points to a record outflow for that category in 2008. Year-to-date bond fund flows of $81.6 billion are setting the pace for a record annual inflow for bond funds in 2008. From a contrarian point of view, mutual fund flows suggest that an important bottom is in for the US equity market.

Re: Birchtree's account talk

From Richard Russell - "As you know, I've been bullish. As a matter of fact, I'm exceedingly bullish. The greatest bull market in history was born in the early 1980's. It turned out to be a very unorthodox primary bull market. We've gone through the first and most of the second phase of the bull market with the third phase maybe beginning now or maybe just a bit ahead. The third phase is going to be something else - perhaps explosive. It's going to be the greatest speculative stock market explosion the world has ever seen. Right now most of the world's potential investors are sitting on the sidelines reading about how tough it is, and how this is a horrendous real estate disaster and how every other American is going to lose his home due to foreclosures....I think there's a mighty third phase coming. Most of the world is sitting with cash. There's $3.5 billion in US money market funds. There's who knows (the Shadow knows) how much cash in the bonds on the sidelines. There are tens of trillions in sovereign wealth funds that will be looking to be invested. The oil and commodity nations are choking on cash. The planet is up to its neck in fiat money, and once the third phase of the bull market starts cranking up, this money will want to be in stocks."

Re: Birchtree's account talk

The important thing right now is that we continue to hold above the previous congestion lows of 2 weeks ago. Tom says to be cautious - he's always that way. I continue to be on guard for another upside attempt. Both the Common Only and the Composite NYSE breadth MCSUM are above their zero lines still. This will keep any kind of trend to the downside from developing at this time. If and when we see readings in and around the zero line, then we can look for trend development - last week was simply a pause. Up trends are notorious for sharp and short declines to keep the majoreity off balance. The NYSE breadth MCSUM is pushing +500 and this is the level that will provide escape velocity. Be right and sit tight but most of all be prepared for the coming melt up.
