Birchtree's Account Talk

Obama's shooting blanks

Some of us have been waiting on the climax sell and I think it's here - so drill down baby. Bring on the stink and golden prices because I'm open to gathering up some wall flowers. Obama is going to bend - I could see it in his face. I'm into short term pain for the long term gain - this won't last to a 10% consolidation even if all major 200 days lines are penetrated. Snort.

POTUS has nothing left; he can't throw money at this one; it's BOTH tax more, and alot more - as well as spend less. But most of it is gonna be tax. Expect a top cap gains tax of something slightly less than earned income (say, 35-37% vs. the 39.6% for top earners), and minor trimming of entitlements. Full tax reform would be better, but there's just no time left.

I never thought BO was all that swift and creative; he does have a great speaking voice. Must be those Kool cigarettes or something. Very inspiring. In the final analysis, however, great speeches and winning debate talk doesn't pay the bills.

The equity market will soon have a new lightening rod to grab onto - the prospect of a presidential impeachment for overt mendacity to the american people. Getting rid of Obama will spice up life and the economy.

If Obama is impeached, who ends up as president then...? And you think that will cause the market to go UP? lol

The VP will gladly resign and the Supreme Court will appoint Mr. Romney as the heir apparent - and life will return to a sense of normalcy. That's my take.

Yes, John Boehner would actually be next in line providing he would want it. Mr. Romney however ran a hard battle to be the choice for president and it was the uninformed vote that kept it from him. I really find the whole situation full of drama and somewhat fun.

Re: Obama's shooting blanks

OK another periscope down day shaping up and that's fine with me - I enjoy pain when golden prices are available. I have ten dividend reinvestments due today. The problem is this market holds the potential to spike on any positive news that may emminate from the WH on the fiscal cliff. We could be building a bottom right now for the rally into December - but if that rally doesn't materialize then the month of December presents with 98 dividend reinvestments - such a problem to have.

I'm beginning to think that the Israeli military is going to wipe out many young militant trouble makers - that's a lot of dead muslims. Hamas is going to reap their desire to reach heaven and a whole generation will go with them. Stupid is as stupid does. I don't think the Egyptian military comes to their aid - recognizing history.

Re: Obama's shooting blanks

Well it was another week of oceanic account give back - this is starting to feel like a pattern: -$2K, -$20K, -$83K, -$25K, +$35K for a devaluation of -$95K. Four day trading weeks can be good but still dangerous - so I'll just keep the dividends doing the heavy lifting. I have not sacrificed any positions during this current consolidation and plan to hold the line while the market seeks stabilization.

LOL!

Yeah, since the GOP (now basically the Whig party) cannot actually win a national election anymore because they're so out of touch with the American people (Bobby Jindals words, not mine), their only alternative now is try to impeach Obama for what? Beating the crap out of Romney 332-206? Or calling an event an act of terror vs a terrorist attack? Oh wow, yeah, that's like such a big issue (lol).
All while we have the debt ceiling and fiscal cliff to deal with in the next few weeks.

LOL! Sometimes I wonder if you guys really believe what you say?

FWM, I can't speak for "those guys" but the rest of us wonder if you really believe all you say.

LOL
